WE magazines

Postby Coot_Prichards » Tue Apr 27, 2010 11:40 pm

I've never seen AGM mags for WE GBB rifles.
If you have a link please post it. I would love to pick up some mags for my guns that aren't $40 for only realcaps.

I'm really unfamiliar with GBB rifles, and I've got a few questions about them.

1.) Is there any easy way to decrease the velocity on this gun to make it legal for field use?

2.) Are there aftermarket magazines for it that don't cost $40 each?

3.) Are there any common problems attributed to GBB internals? (I've heard WE guns have issues)

If anyone could answer these, it'd be greatly appreciated.

I've got a WE SCAR. I', not sure of the differences between the two, but I'm sure they're just about the same.

1.) There is an NPAS system for the SCAR, which regulates FPS.

2.) Not yet.

3.) My SCAR is currently shattering BB's in the gun, and I have no idea why.

1. Yes there is both RA Tech and TS Customs make fps adjustable nozzles, In fact last time I checked AirsoftOutletNW carried the TS Custom one.

2. THERE ARE NO AFTER MARKET MAGAZNES FOR THE WE TECH RIFLES

3. All GBB rifles have issues most common with the m4 series is trigger sear wearout, part #66 wearout and inconsistant hopup, which was supposedly fixed with their latest gen hopup unit.

I had both the WE M4 and the WE Scar, and worked inside both intimately. They are a fantastic replica. and rank second to top in the internals and externals of the current gen of gbb rifles

The WE 416 can easily be adjusted to CQC velocities. One adjustment is permanent (easy mod with jb-weld), or you can get an adjustable nozzle, such as the RA-Tech, which I recommend, or the TS Custom, which works, but not as nice as the RA-Tech.

WE M4 mags are $35 from Airsoft Outlet NW. WE guns will not take AGM magazines. Only 30rd mags are available, but you can mod them to take 38 rounds or so.

You need to loctite all the screws in the bolt, 'cause they'll come undone as you fire the gun. The valve will unscrew off the main guide rod if you don't loctite it. Also, the trigger pack parts can wear out. I have seen the sear and disconnect wear out, since they're soft metal. Part 66 can break as well.

As for breaking BBs in the gun, if you disassemble and re-do the hop-up and barrel assembly and replace part #117, it should fix it.

Can you buy replacement trigger pack parts? Because I got the notion from somewhere that they weren’t replaceable...

I owned a WE M4 gen 1 but sold it in less than 24 hours because I read too many issues about it and the news of gen 2. I waited and waited till gen 3 and there are still issues with small cheap parts breaking and wearing. Tho the replacements are less than a dollar in price, but back then we had to order it from Taiwan, and the shipping cost exceeds the cost of the part. For almost a year, I constantly monitored forums (arniesairsoft.co.uk has 250+ pages of WE GBBR), and I'm waiting for WE to develop a truly robust platform, but it never comes; I finally bought the G&P WOC. Now I don't know what gen it is already for WE, but I'm happy to say that my G&P WOC is still going strong without any problem.
Get:
Inokatsu if you want a super robust platform (but need red gas or an ultra good mag system that delivers enough pressure to move the bolt effectively)
G&P if you want it to work out of the box (but may not do so well in cold weather, prowin mags may solve the prob)
WE if you want a cheaper alternative (if you can stand it breaking down and have to keep replacing small parts–maybe)
AGM if you want to completely rebuild all the internals since they may break one by one.
JING GONG GBBR if you want to do the favor writing a review about it.
KSC/KWA GBBR if you can wait to see how it performs when it comes out in the summer.

Airsoft Outlet has many of the trigger pack parts, but not all of them.
