If I'm behind some concealment like a bush, and a guy rattles 20 or 30 rounds into that bush, and the only reason I haven't been struck yet is by dumb luck and the branches being just so that they're deflecting the BBs, I'll call that. I'd much rather be too liberal with my hit calling than too conservative.

Maybe i was just waiting for an answer that i wanted to hear, but this is how i'm inclined to play.

Just because i agree with you doesn't mean i have to sculpt in sweet a$$ facial hair...does it? ;)

Oh BTW I also shoot anyone without a death rag or there hands up or on top of there head, to many douchbags act as if there out and walking to the dead pool in order to get a good shot at you and then rail you. If yer walking to the spawn for real and don't have death rag then you are asking me to shoot you until you call hit, bithching that yer dead is moot.

Yes, absolutely.

Death rag would be a good investment on my part, although when I do get hit I just let my gun hang (sling) raise one hand up (after yelling hit loudly) and walk towards spawn. So far I haven't been lit up.

when i forget my death rag (which is often, i keep leaving them in gear and i have a ton of it) i find that letting my weapon hang and putting both hands on my head and walking out seems to work pretty well.

as for hits, if a BB hits me and its not an obvious ricochet, im hit. if it doesn't hit me, im not.

best thing to do in my opinion is to ask the specifics at the game, different fields different rules... hell rules evolve all the time. just as long as you understand that you get hit your out. sorry but if your the new guy at a game/field lay your tool on the table and ask "stupid" questions. the worst you'll get is a good ribbing, everyone laughs for a minute and you get your question anwered and you run off to play and have a good time.

You know, there are many different ways to play it as you can see, but no one will complain if you call yourself out and you didn't get hit.

At a game a while back and friend and I rushed a forward position killing 2 guys, we stood in the open discussing that we were sure pretty sure there was a third guy, but before either of us confessed that we didn't see him a sniper, about 8 feet away from us, facing the other direction called "I'm coming out" he lifted his hands and slowly turned around... neither my friend or I would have seen him he was well concealed full ghilly suit and all. He called himself out, said we did good taking the position and walked away. We didn't mind, and he didn't want to get shot from that close.

Do what you think is right, play the way you want to play, and as long as it doesn't break any rules no one will complain. But remember, don't expect other to play by the same rules you set for yourself.
