Wow, I'm exhausted, and I was at our HQ all day...

I want to thank SOTA for putting this on. The game play was good, the missions weren't to complex, but they were difficult at the same time. The amount of admins on the field made it very easy to get issues resolved, even though there were very few of them

TO THE HOPEFUL:
You guys fought valiantly. After the first round, we wrote you off. You proved that that was a mistake. You came back, and nearly won it. You provided constant harassment for my team, and made the fighting good.

TO THE US TEAM:
You were the thorn in my side all day. You had a good number of experienced players, and it showed it. Every time I would send my players to an objective you guarded, they would come back with death rags flying. You defended your home base with vigor, and it finally took a laser strike to give my team the confidence to assault in. I felt a little bad zapping your spawn point right off the bat in the 3rd round, but it seems like it made little difference.

TO BZ CORP:
It was a pleasure leading you into battle. This is the first game I have seen a full team of players who were ALL willing to sit on their butts and guard a location. You were all enthusiastic, and had great attitudes, the whole game. Fragistan Commandos: You guys rock. You were my go-to team all day. Whatever I asked you to do, you did. No complaints, no grumbles, just enthusiastic yeses. Mithril, you guys were great. You guys went into it, and fought honorably. To my guys on PSC, you did great. I could turn to you and I knew you would get it done to the best of your abilities. To the other guys who weren't on specific teams/I don't know what teams, you made up the backbone of BZ Corp. Without you, there is no way we could have won. Everyone on BZ Corp did an amazing job. It was truly a pleasure bossing you all around... :D. I would go into battle with all of you without a second thought (and I hope to, with Thunder Strike coming up...).

To all the people who came out, it was a blast to share a field with you. As I slip into the blissful unconsciousness, I want to leave you all with one last thing:

I still think it's pretty f***ing funny that the BZ Corp used a lazer strike for one person...me. :D

We really wanted to make sure you were dead.

I have to give props to Jester along with everybody on the BZ corps side, you guys were awesome. Both the US forces and the Hopeful made great adversaries, you guys made the game a blast.

Finally I have to hand it to SOTA for putting on a top notch event. This has been the best event I've gone to since MJAT, you guys never fail to impress.

For my first organized public even, it was awesome! I thought we were doomed after the 1st round but mini-led us to an astonishing comeback in round two. Yes, Gunny's air strike near the end of the first round that literally wiped out the Hopeful was just the cherry on top for us. It was also hilarious because we didn't think anything could possibly more wrong. Thanks SOTA, and I look forward to many more events. Happy Birthday Ash!

Great day--thanks, Ash, for having a birthday!

For those of you who heard me wondering what I was going to tell my students this morning about the bloody, open wound on my face--I'm going with, "I got shot" with no further explanation. That ought to keep 'em guessing.

SOTA,
You guys put on a great game barring a few minor hiccups. I loved that there were restrictions on how many support weapons were allowed and no hi-caps. Great sign of a good game is I'm sore all over. I'm getting to old for this S***.

BZ,
I was one of the guys chasing your team with the objective at the end of round 3. If only US hadn't taken us out from behind we could have kept you from getting it. Great job though. It was fun playing with you all.

US,
That airstrike in the end of round one was perfectly timed. Hate you for that. :-)

Hopeful,
We rocked. Great comeback.
Ultimately, we're all adults running around with toy guns. Let's keep it in perspective.

SOTA: Great game, great props, great fun. Ash, I'd wish you a happy birthday but I already did that back when it actually was your birthday :P

US: Damn you guys for adding insult to injury and taking us out of the first round. That air strike could not have been more perfectly times. All we could do was laugh about it.
Fighting over the beer keg in the third round was fun, I'm glad we didn't have to lug that thing around. If only I had realized you guys didn't have Ft Irwin and couldn't actually complete the mission I would have let you guys take it.

BZ: Contgrats on your victory, but in the end, we still held our homes and we will not stop in our struggle against you. I was shocked when the New Eden compound was entirely undefended at the start of round 2. Had a lot of fun fighting against you guys over at S2 and the village area.
Good job on getting your round 2 objective complete in the last seconds of the game to secure your victory. Apparently you owe the US forces a debt of gratitude for that one.

Hopeful: Great job everyone. The first round fluster cluck didn't get your spirits down and we were able to stage on hell of a comeback to make up the large point deficit in rounds 2 and 3. Everyone had basically written us off, but now they will know better than to write off the power of Hope!
We started off with the fewest people, and the fewest special weapons, and managed to lose even more as the game progressed, but despite all that we made one hell of a showing and came withing just a few points of total victory. I'm proud of you all.

Yes, we anticipated that would be your first move, so we moved everyone just outside of the sector and quickly took the one behind us so that we would not get wiped out. Good plan though. You should have sent a forward observer to confirm your target first :D
