Scappoose Mini-Op: Joint run event brought to you by Tommy and Alex
1000-1100: Pugil-Stick challenge
1115: safety brief
Round 1: Axis vs Allies
Round 2: CTF
age limit: 15yo
Round 1: Axis vs Allies Mini-Op
This is going to be an expirement to see if a WWII type event can be run using modern equipment.
Round 1: Axis vs Allies
WWII Military Simulation Expirement.
Axis vs Allies is going to be an expirement in conducting an Airsoft WWII Mil-Sim open to all.
Concept, by limiting the use of modern weapons, we are going to try to conduct a WWII era event. So this is how it will work:
__Assault Rifles; all weapons classified as assault rifles, i.e. M4/M16, AK, G36 etc etc will be restricted to operating only on Semi-automatic fire mode. This will simulate the rifles of the period. As well as the fire mode being limited, they will only be allowed to use non-hicap mags with a max capacity of 30rds per mag. Granted this is more than the period rifles capacity, but we are taking this in baby-steps here people.
Excpetion to the assault rifle semi-auto rule is going to be the use of an
_M14. M14’s can be used to simulate a BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle). But there is to be no optics allowed on any of the M14’s.
__Sub-Machine Guns; SMG’s will be allowed to fire full-auto unlike the assault rifles, beucase this is period appropriate. SMG’s will be allowed to run hi-caps unlike the assault rifles, but no drum mags will be allowed; the only exception to this no-drum mag rule would be the Thompson SMG, since the Thompson did use a drum and it is period appropriate.
__Light Machine Guns; LMG’s will operate only as ‘Crew Served Weapons’. Meaning, they can only be operated by a 2man team. Only 1 person is required when the weapon being operated, (meaning, when the weapon is being fired.) But when the LMG is being moved, it must be carried by a 2man team at all times. LMG’s cannot be fired from the hip, it must be placed on the ground, log or whatever. I know that many of the WWII era LMG’s were able to fired from the hip, and/or carried by 1 person. But to ensure that all the LMG’s are operated in the same, we are restricting all of them to the same rules.
__Bolt Rifles; All bolt rifles are allowed, but there are some restrictions. Only 4 bolt rifles going to be allowed that shoot over 400fps. The rest must shoot 400fps or less. We are only going to allow 4 bolt rifles to be used as a snipers platform. 2 snipers for each Axis & Allies team. Meaning only the ‘snipers’ rifles can be used with optics, meaning scopes. All other bolt rifles are not allowed to use any scope or magnification optics at all.
__Axis & Allies Teams:
The teams will be broken down the morning of the event at the game brief. It will not matter what BDU you are wearing, or gear/ gun you are running. Though you will have the option to pick which team you will want to be on, but we will strive to make the teams as even as possible. The Teams will be marked and serperated by colored taped armbands. So it is very important that everyone bring a role of Yellow Duct Tape with them. Please do not expect someone to have extra tape for you, bring your own please.

Round 2: Capture the Flag: details for the CTF game still being worked out, please be patient
For Round 2: CTF just about all the weapon restrictions will be lifted. Hi-caps will be inplay, Optics allowed for any and all guns. The only weapon restriction will the no Drum mag rule. Only LMG weapons will be allowed to use drum magazines. Only approved LMG weapons, such as M249, M60, MG36, RPK etc etc. if you have converted an AEG into an LMG platform, the conversion must be 95% complete. If you are unsure if your weapon meets these criteria, please contact me via PM for clearification.
