This is something I could stand to be involved with.

Very good camera work, very good.

Agreed. Of all the people you could have followed around...

Wes came to me. Honestly, it was very strange to be followed around by a camera for a decent chunk of the day.

I'm sure if someone else is willing to wear a microphone all day, Wes would be willing to follow them around.

This was cool. If there were a variety of people being followed this video would be even better.

I disagree on all premises.
- Following a few select players will give someone a better feel of what it would be like out there if it were them
- Same as above
- He's showing an accurate account of Airsoft Pacific. Documentaries should be as truthful as possible.

I honestly think ALL our videos should be shot in a similar format, without the gay metal music to make us look bad a$$.

Good job, Wes. If you need another hand let me know.

Actually, I found your documentary thread quite helpful. I got a lot real inspiration from King of Kong and FRAG. I'm trying to find more Sub-culture docs to help get a feel about who to follow and how much of them to show.

I plan on following most of APST around in future events. You guys just don't know it yet. :D

If anyone is interested in sharing their opinions on anything that has to do with the hobby or just want to give a few war stories, contact me via PM. I can arrange a set up either at your house or at Ai's studio in Downtown PDX. I'd prefer to meet up with people that have a few years in the hobby under their belts, rather than a few weeks.

Also, thanks for all the positive feedback guys.

That would be misrepresentation.

My goal is to show that anyone can be an airsofter but you wont know it. We like to keep ourselves private except for the internet. We have been a really low key hobby if you come to think about it. Many people know what airsoft guns are but they don't know who WE are. Thus Airsoft is an Invisible Hobby.

Fantastic work so far, I'm looking forward to seeing how this all comes out.

Should have shows some more of the goofy elements, like the guy in the cookie monster outfit.

Show some milsim, some zombie stuff, Manicotti and if you spend long enough on it, possibly the next Santa Wars.

I love me a good documentary. I've actually "thought" about doing a documentary on airsoft before, or rather, a documentary covering both an airsoft players perspective of a game and the event coordinators', which would have been easiest for me to do as part of the event coordinating staff -- and I say "thought" implying it's something I'd like to do, have a vision for how to do, but will likely never bother with -- good that you're doing it.

Honestly, a GREAT documentary for you to watch would be "Second Skin".

It'll make you cringe, as I did and I'm an avid WoW player, but it'll give you some great ideas on how to cover our version of an MMORPG.

EDIT: Working on finding a streaming version online, the one Hoff found before was taken down. Until then, here's the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWM-DTQWvN4 (Doesn't really show much to benefit you though, except maybe the last line.)

EDIT2: Here's one on megavideo. Don't know if you can get through it before they kick you off though. :|

Looks good. I'll check that out next. Another one I loved that I saw recently was The Cove. Not too man nonfiction films keep you that entertained or emotionally involved.

As a tangent that doesn't really help you with this project, if you want a good documentary to watch for emotion, watch Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father. Don't read too much about it before watching, though.

If you can make it through that film without at least a lump in your throat, you're probably a sociopath.

Good editing combats apathy.
