This is a little much yes, But i think that 18 only law in buying Airsoft and paint ball guns needs to be enforced. Lucky at Fredmeyer, when im working i work the sporting goods section, so anyone who wants in the case, will have to go threw me.

I also think that anyone Under 18 when in pos of a Airsoft gun or paintball gun should have to go threw a class (1 day, couple hours) before they can have an airsoft gun in there hands. That, along with a strict, no one under 18 law would greatly reduce the number of retards under 18 with some kind of airsoft gun or PB gun.

Hasn't it been like this in New York state forever? Not very surprising. That part of the country is bleeding retarded.

well anyone in NJ <18 will have to play lazer tag.

NJ's bill
f. "Firearm" means any handgun, rifle, shotgun, machine gun, automatic or semi-automatic rifle, or any gun, device or instrument in the nature of a weapon from which may be fired or ejected any solid projectable ball, slug, pellet, missile or bullet, or any gas, vapor or other noxious thing, by means of a cartridge or shell or by the action of an explosive or the igniting of flammable or explosive substances. It shall also include, without limitation, any firearm which is in the nature of an air gun, spring gun or pistol or other weapon of a similar nature in which the propelling force is a spring, elastic band, carbon dioxide, compressed or other gas or vapor, air or compressed air, or is ignited by compressed air, and ejecting a bullet or missile, including any polymer ball or pellet or metallic-coated polymer ball or pellet, smaller than three-eighths of an inch in diameter, with sufficient force to injure a person.

2nd note couldn't a nerf dart be a Missile as well.

if so NJ should ban Nerf guns as well if Airsoft if air soft guns caus injury so can Nerf guns.

the whole NJ airsoft community has pretty much been demolished. since it's considered a firearm can you still play airsoft if you have a license? to them i guess your shooting someone with a real fire arm.

So, just run your guns with low FPS so you don't injure anyone. As my football coach always said, there's a difference between hurt and injured.

+1.

Its all about advertising. The average person looks at an airsoft gun and says "holy shat, its real". Without someway to educate them, this sport will not last forever. I do not think the solution is to limit people having them because of cops shooting them. I think the solution is to stop hassling cops who shoot someone when they feel threatened. Let them do their jobs, stop limiting them, instead of limiting everyone else. Because lets face it, no matter your age, if you point an airsoft gun at someone not participating, you deserve to get shot with a real steel. "Bet you won't have the guts to do that again".

I just hope that they don't think that because it passed in NJ that it may be able to be passed threw out America, that would be a big pile of suck.
