Airsoft guns will be soon considered Firearms in NJ

Well it looks like the bill has been passed. This will bar anyone under 18 or with a criminal record or without a firearm permit to own an airsoft gun in NJ. This is the biggest piece of bullshit I have read in a while. The state is limiting the right to own a toy. This is clearly a move by stupid anti-gun politicians who feel because their agenda to completely ban weapons in NJ is not possible to achieve they have to get the next best thing to make an example. This is not about Police officers not being able to identify weapons because of their orange tips, there have been incidents were real weapons were paint orange at their tip. I am rather sad that there is very little I can do but pray. Those incapable idiots think that just because it looks like a gun it is a gun but if it works like one is irrelevant.

It is like a real firearm now. I am not sure if it is to own too. You will have to pass a background check and all the other shit necessary for firearms.

Well, it will make it easier for Police. You point an airsoft gun at an officer, they shoot you, you were pointing a firearm at them.

They are classified as firearms somewhere in oregon, but I always get where wrong... You don't have to do a bg check or anything like that though still.

20 to buy a Airsoft Handgun and 18 to buy an airsoft rifle. There is no way anyone in the right mind actually passed that. The faster I am out of this shit that dares calling itself a state the better. People are pricks here, weather sucks a$$, gun laws are shitty, the shore is unpleasant. This pretty much just pushed it.
Virginia sounds good, Oregon sounds like a fine place too. Only 4 more years.

P.S. If anyone thinks I am overreacting, you have not lived in NJ. Trust me, as high as their school wide test scores may be they are still idiots here. Try finding an geniounly friendly person here, there are only a few that were that and those were guys I met while airsofting.

Will NJ citizens need an FFL to buy one online or get a transfer now?

This is just stupid.

Yes they will. So carrying an airsoft gun under your jacket would now requiere a concealed carry permit. (I don't know why anyone was doing that before anyways) just an example though. Yeah the M4A1 in my room will in 2 months be called an Rifle. I will be technically a felon. I will be illegally owning a firearm. Yeah does it make sense? No but its the garden state.

It's called the garden state because petrochemical and medical supply manufacturing state wouldn't fit on the license plate.

It is still important to know irregardless of where you live, it is showing everyone what kind of balls the government has and how anyone should avoid living in NJ.

or maybe it shows how retarded NJ is and no shit you should avoid living there. this is not a case of the government trying to take your guns away, its just 'tarded voters and PTA groups getting sand in their post menopausal vags'. there are 100,000 reasons not to live there, this is just one more. "slippery slope" is a logical fallacy, so to say that this could now happen all over the US is as retarded as the people who passed the law

Actually I would trust California to do something like this but you are right. NJ is a shithole and there are no states that would actually do this.
