Seemed too last minute, IMO.

On "action shots" I'm actually thinking they wouldn't be live, but they would be staged to look like it. I'd really like to bring in some lighting and make a very dramatic BAD a$$ MOFO look - like when you see harsh edge lighting on Athletes. A UK photographer recently did a shoot I thought was pretty awesome... Obviously more emphasis on the gun and not just standing there, but here's an example of the effect:

I like the gals and guns with dramatic lighting and good gear. The models can be players or not. State of dress or undress really doesn't matter but why hire good models and put them in the form fitting and shapely things known as ACU/BDU/whathaveya?

Who cares what we really look like? We buy it because it has the hawtness of gals and guns. No offense to the female participants, but if they want an all guy calender and can get enough interest I am sure Matt would shoot one of them as well.

You could always do a team picture with the calender overlayed at 30-60% so you could see the team pic and the calender, or a small team photo with a drop shadow. (think like a team 4x6 paper clipped to one edge saying we chose this gal because!)

Lets also give Matt a hand. Having worked with 12 models, MUA's and owners of said replicas that in itself is like herding 48+ cats.. Good job on this years calenders

I'd rather see a year in some good actions stills taken from events in the NW, than a tour of Portland's ugly women. Hell I might even buy one then.
