It requires a lot more than $500 to acquire the gear to join SOTA. That said, this has nothing to do with gear requirements and everything to do with the fact that your "team" is expressedly marking a certain group of people as the "enemy" (poor attempt at a joke or not), and my team does not. The "enemy" of SOTA is respective to the OPFOR of each independent game and nothing more. At any rate, I do agree with airsoft basically being a hobby where you can choose what sort of gear to use... I myself have probably spent upwards of $1000 in the last year on various airsoft related crap. My collection was significantly thinned down this past month through sales listings on various websites.

Anyways, I think older kit has more character to it than a lot of the new stuff. But that's just my opinion, and as such requires no rebuttal or any "proving me wrong" attempts.

A lot of the people here on AP are just these nerd kids with Call Of Duty on there minds, and they want to play videogamesim.

Breaking News: Many of the people on AP, including *several* members of PLA, are interested in airsoft because they are video-gamers that like the realism that airsoft allows them to re-create. As I've said before, the "videogamesim" nonsense is just Dan's new go-to slur to paint everyone he doesn't like with the same brush. It's the 2010 version of "ape."

EDIT: Also, the fact that people join airsoft due to video games is irrelevant to the teams focus. In which you have no say in because you are not in PLA.

So video game sim has nothing to do with fancy blue or Solid OD or a team *cough, cough PLA* that wants to recreate a light infantry platoon or 5 to do mil sim operations with.

People don't join PLA to play video game sim, People joined PLA to do mi lsim, which will erupt slowly but in the right way.

Quite frankly, I'm not sure what my love life has to do with any of this. But, in case you were wondering, I've never had a "pickle-surprise" with a CL girl, and I probably get more cute kitty per week than you get per year. Not all of it is necessarily drop-dead gorgeous cute kitty, but I have my moments.

Please take notice of the fact that the whole anti-multicam thing has been played out locally by a small group of players here to a point that most of us would, given the chance, simply opt to set fire to partisans on BOTH sides rather than be subjected to another minute of the exchange. It really HAS been the saddest and nearly the most (if not THE most) divisive exchange in recent memory for our merry little band... and oddly enough it started as a half-assed and half-hearted joke.
