Think about that next time somebody corrects you and laugh. That's an asshole for you, the world is full of them. By shielding you from them, I'm not helping you at all. The best thing you can do for yourself is not give a shit what they think.

I am happy with what i have, and have provided myself with. My spelling isntt good. Sorry.

I dont think my ideas and opinions are worth any intake, but if people like what i do, then they can do the same. Im not trying to live up to anyones standards(except my teams mates and comrades, thats a different story).

Thus, i live my own life, and im completely happy with what i have done, and can do with it.

I agree Nasty. Pickles, your spelling has been pointed out numerous times as the root of the crap you are catching. I don't always think some of the grammar Nazi stuff is totally necessary, but it comes down to this: if you don't want to change, fine, keep catching shit. Simple as that.

I've done it a few times for some MilSim events in Washington. Mostly SA events.

Yeah we do AAR's at the end of every game.

Now, purposefully ignoring the errors I'd just like to say this. He's said he will change, I say you guys just give him a month, and if nothing changes, then do what you do.

I don't see how you, Pickles, can't change considering this day and age, and the tech that we have now a days. You don't have to be feckless in this area if you don't want to. On the other hand you don't have to be as foppish as others are either. All you have to do is be correct. I believe that the people here will appreciate you more if you simply take the time to check your grammar and spelling.

Finally, I say you guys give him a chance, if any of you were in his position you would want it. And if he comes back and says he doesn't want a chance, then sure, give him what he deserves. (Whatever that may be.)

In today's technological society, there is no reason why your posts should be anything besides 100% spelling correct. Every internet browser has a spell checker built in. To say that you won't spell check shows us how little respect you have for this community. Pickles, you have been in this community since September 2008. That is roughly 16 months. That means you have had plenty of time to fix your spelling issues. But, I believe everyone deserves another chance, so here are helpful tools for you to make your posts 120% better:

1) Learn to spell words
2) Use your internet browsers built in spell check
2) Type your response into a word processing program, spell check it (as you would with any sort of official paper), the copy and paste it in here


If you choose to ignore these options, I'd tell you to instead of telling people not to come here, just leave yourself. You have been given more chances then anyone else here. People have tried to help you, and you have spit in their faces.

EDIT: Quit making excuses for your poor grammar and instead take that energy and invest it into improving yourself. If you want to be treated like an educated adult, you need to act like one. Learning how to properly implement syntax, spelling, and grammar will go a long way towards improving your quality of life. I understand you're young and aloof with the blissful and blinding ignorance of youth, and you can cling to your music and the simple things in life and making people smile, but you aren't going to feed a family on smiles.

One day you're going to hit the very harsh reality of needing a well-paying job and not being able to find one because you lack the basic prerequisite of being able to communicate professionally, a skill required for *every* job that will pay you more than $8.50 an hour.

OK all y'all idiots with crappy grammar and people that don't like the grammar Nazi's...

Go read around on some other forums that center around adult hobbies. Take for instance any of the high performance auto forums.
When some 16 year old newbie comes onto those forums with "ZOMG i bot a crx and want to put nos in it.", that kid will get an even worse reaming than the kid that comes onto AP and says "zomg i bot a panthrams ar15 and want it shot 500fps".

We aren't worse. We're actually rather moderate. Sure we're mean, but if we weren't, kids wouldn't learn anything. The ones that can't deal with us the way we are, are the ones that would ruin this game quicker than anything if no one forced them out.

My opinion on the matter is that although I believe that spelling and grammar are important things, and help to grease the internet war machine that is AP, it is also not necessary to have sixteen jackass kids be rude as shit about spelling and grammar. At the most, it should be a response to the question and a "hey, your grammar or spelling is upsidedown up dude, here's why:" Just one. Not six thousand other posts related to not the OP question, but rather this handful of grammatical mistakes.

A little bit of kindness goes a lot farther than belligerence in terms of solving problems and encouraging people to do better instead of harping on them for not doing things exactly right.
