Mag barely holding any gas

Postby k3gn3123512 » Thu Feb 11, 2010 11:52 am

I filled up my mag today i held it for 30 seconds the canister. I then cocked the gun it made a puff sound. I then proceeded to shoot about 5 or 6 rounds before the mag made that empty sound. Why the shazaam is it doing that. Thats seriously aggravating me. Any idea why?

Put your ear to the mag, see if it is leaking.

FYI 30 seconds is quite a bit to fill up a mag, it should only take a few seconds.

And if you are using propane then your propane adapter my just suck a fatty nut, I had the same problem with my first propane adapter. All the gas would just escape out of the adapter and not go into the mag, had to buy a second one and haven't had problems since.

This is what I have now http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=4534

Is it a new can, or old one? If it's running empty, then the pressure might not be enough to equalize the pressure. Try using a different can if you have access to one.

also check to see if the mag is actually getting gas. fill it, then push the valve button on the back to release it. its pretty obvious if its got a full charge or not. there is a possibility that it could be the striker sticking or not hitting the valve hard enough, and therefore not releasing enough gas to work correctly.

the striker on my M700 (its a somewhat different system) got all gummed up over time a while back and wasn't working very well at all. i took it apart and cleaned and lubricated it and it works like a champ now.

Welcome to the world of Green Gas in the Winter . But really check for leaks in the mag , grease it if its leaking or like Jester said you could be scraping the bottom of the can .

Make sure the propane bottle (or green gas in your case) is upside down (on the top) with the mag below it when you charge it. I got the same problem when I held the mag on the top, I got maybe 2 shots.

Edit: and that was during the summer

Funny thing is I was shooting it in my basement :D.

I'll be going to the shop tomorrow to pick my gun up so i'll grab an extra can of green gas. Lets hope that will fix the problem. I don't think its the striker, i'll take a look at it though. Thanks
