12v motor gun?

Postby Sonic » Tue Feb 02, 2010 2:27 am

I have aquired a 12v motor, switch, relay, and circuit, all I need is a battery and an idea on how to turn it into a AEG.. any ideas?
at first I thought shooting people with BB guns was violent, cruel, and demeening to the loser.
I later found out that it is all of that and much more.

Ummmm, you want to build an AEG from the ground up?

Or put a 12v motor in an AEG?

Both sound like way to much work to do effectively.

10 cell NImH battery, or of course, a car battery. Now use that motor to spin a set of barrels, and use a compressor to fire air through the barrels... Get where I'm headed?

I like where your head is at, but I am more leaning towards a saw than a minigun, like AEG internals on crack!

That does sound like it would be quite awesome.

Good lucky finding a way to fit it in an AEG.

Put it in a SAW box mag and belt-drive the phony pony.

Or you might be able to fanagle it into a saw body. Maybe a m60? This would require so heavy mods (Hi torque gears) along with other things. I would love to see this as it would put those cute kitty "HI SPEED!!!" motors to shame.

After reading it 3 times in it's entirety I'm still confused on the intent in this thread. What are you trying to do?

apparently he has a motor - and now wants to make an AEG around it, instead of the usual opposite

Is this unclear?

Honest question, I swear.

Drop it into a M60 body and convert it to 8mm while you are at it!

You will probably have to design your gear box from the ground up to support the new motor as well as reinforced gears. Or at least make sure that the gear box can be removed easily to replace them.

You could also look into setting it up with a bore-up cylinder, short-stroked piston, and higher-compression spring if you are looking to build it out for ROF.

If you are running a battery-powered box mag, you will probably end up wanting to replace the stock box mag motor with something capable of feeding at a higher ROF, as my experience with SAW box mags and lipos has shown me that the mag cannot keep up with an 11.1v pack.

I don't want a mini gun (a multi barrel gun) I want something closer to a saw, not "dropped into a saw body" a custom, original gun that doesn't need a tank and a motor... just a motor and alot of BB's and the necassary gears and pistons
