PLA Training Day Feb. 28th

PLA Training Day 28FEB2010

PLA is resuming monthly, outdoor, free Training Days, focusing on beginner-level skills, open to all players (both new and experienced) to help out PLA's large majority of new players, as well as the players new to airsoft in the community.

We will resume having these every month, on the last Saturday of every month. Since we just resumed these in February, and Faction Wars 3.0 was planned for that same Saturday, we're going to have it this Sunday. It will resume being every last Saturday of the Month in March.

Who: Everyone and Anyone!
What: PLA Training Day
Where: Scappoose (directions in field list)
When: 10am - 5pm (roughly)

Itinerary:
    0) Proper Warm-Up Routine
    1) Individual Marksmanship
    2) Magazine Reloads
    3) Ready Ups
    4) Single Soldier IMT Lanes
    **Training 10am - 2pm**
    **Skirmish 2:30pm - Index**

**Skirmish will be a simple Force on Force game, with quick time limits and points based upon ground taken, to help push the event towards practical application of the day's training on bounding towards an enemy while maintaining suppressive fire, covering fire and accuracy on target.

Proper Warm Up Routine begins at 10am sharp to lessen personal injury and to buy us time for the late fuckers who show up at noon.

A donation of $1-2 is suggested but not enforced, to pay for paper targets and props for future PLA Training Events.

IMT=Individual Movement Techniques?

Fragistan is currently deciding. If we do come we'll bring a few bucks for you.

Is it true that you make newcomers wear paper targets and stand at the business end of the shooting range, or are those vicious rumors?

WHat? no, we only stick the people in Multicam out there for target shooting. And we use that really nice target paper with the chipping paint that shows where you placed the round. : ) jk

PLA began less than a year ago with a group of old veteran guys of both the military and airsoft realms. We started taking in a large group of the new players who wanted realistic (or at least quality airsoft) training, and gave them that.

These training days are designed to teach new players so they can be better players, and also for new players to get more involved in airsoft if they don't feel like they're ready for the $30, 300 person game just yet.

Also a way for PLA to all get together and hang out. Especially since we have a lot of new players in PLA.

Everyone's welcome, as long as you're coming to have a good time. We'll cover a handful of basic infantry drills and skills, then reload, then have a skirmish to practice what we just learned.
