Feb 18th Skirmish in Florence@"The Wasteland"

Postby Skywalker » Tue Feb 07, 2006 7:55 pm

When: Saturday, February 18th 11:00 A.M.

Where: Florence, Oregon (Directions below, use http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main ... settings=1
to get directions to Florence itself, then the directions below to get to the field)

What: Skirmish hosted by Team Plague

Attendance List:
Team Plague 7-10
Fire Team Zulu 4
luis +1-2 (3)
APST & Friends 7-10
Desert Rats 6
Red Spoon+Father (2)

Alright, no particular theme here, just a skirmish here in Florence. We are going to have a few styles of play. One will be an interesting form of capture the flag. There are no dedicated teams, we'll mix them up after a few games. Teams are determined by bandanna armbands. You either wear a colored armband or bandanna on your arm or you dont, color is not specific. Field is sandy, wear boots. You can wear desert camo of some type, but woodland and flecktarn will work equally well. Remember, any camo is acceptable.

This is one scenario we want to try.
Post any questions you might have.

Things to Bring:

Your full loadout and guns and misc.
Colored armbands (no particular color, but make it visible)
Radios are welcome
Food for lunch
Plenty of water
Plenty of bb's and all that jazz to keep your gun up and running
Whatever else you feel compelled to bring

UPDATE: Dress warmly, it will be chilly

ok new updates. the match is to be moved to the 19th of february for weather reasons.

Directions to the Wasteland arena, is as follows:

take HWY 126 till you hit Highway 101. Keep going straight and 126 becomes 9th street. Follow 9th street till you hit Rhododendron Drive and take a right. You will see these roadmarks as you go north: Greentrees Retirement Area, the river on the left and the landfill/humane society on the right. Continue north past 35th street until you get to the entrance to the Shelter Cove Gated Community. The Wasteland Arena is just north of the first entrance (the one with the sea lion statue) on the right.

That is all for now, contact Skywalker for additional information.

Yes, as soon as Spektre gets them up. We even have some with me in our trench system thingy. In the pillbox.

Nothing much. I'm sick but getting better. Should be all dandy by tuesday or so. Whats up? You need to drag the Desert Rats down here.

I know that Spektre's post says the 19th, but I'd rather have it the 18th, so we can get luis and a few of his friends down here. I'm trying to get ahold of Spektre. Ignore the 19th thing for now.

Can you guys check that wrecked truck for parts that may kill/impale someone? I don't want anyone to get hurt.
EDIT:: Shaggy has 2 fake C4 blocks with wrie on them, should we bring them to use as the "bombs"?

We don't usually climb in the back or engine compartment of that truck, because thats where all the pokey stuff is. How much do the blocks weigh? We had something worked out, but it has to be heavy enough that it takes at least a hand to carry (ours are 5lbs), so the bomb can't be attached to a vest.

There will be NO parking on the road, you must clear the road. When parking pull clear off the road. Thank-you.

Our C4 is quite light but we could weigh them down. PM Shaggy and talk to him about it.
EDIT::What color armbands are we planning on using?

I would still fell better if you guys cleaned up the area of all the "Pokey Stuff" I think that would be the safer thing to do.
