UPDATE:
Today I performed a full burn-in test of the system, to test stability under heat/lack of ventilation as well as to establish the hard and fast numbers for run time.
PC: 5.5 hours
LCD 6 Cell: 5 hours
LCD 9 Cell: 8 hours
Both the PC and LCD have field-changable batteries. The LCD is wired to a 10.8v battery from an HP laptop, which is housed in a cannablized HP laptop battery compartment, as shown below. The unit is stored in the cumberbund, in the rear, so there is no additional pocket required to house it.
I removed the janky multicam cozy/hydration bladder hybrid that was housing the LCD because it was bulky as hell and held together by staples, which aren't particulary effective. The LCD is now attached directly to the vest using a bolted-on modified sling and clip mount.
