I'm wondering if this is really a halogen light and not one of those HID arc bulbs.

What kind of damage would one of those to the face cause...?

Well, they lok to be made of anodized aluminum. With a proper swing, you could generate a good bit of power. The rounded body would cause the striking force to be concentrated on a smaller convex area, so I imagine you would at a minimum see some pretty serious subdermal hemotomas. With a strong enough user and proper strike placement, pressure hemhorraging at the point of impact, and possibly broken bones, dislocated jaws, or lost teeth.

Kids, don't try this at home.

I think he was talking about damage to the eyes. Will 4100 lumens cause permanent vision problems?

That, I don't know. The Suefire HellFighter lights are 3000 lumens, and I haven't found any warning literature about high-intensity light exposure regarding them. I've spent a good bit of time (a couple dozen hours) training to fight into a 2.5 million candlepower spotlight without lasting adverse effects, but I am unsure where 2.5 million candlepower rates out to in lumens.

I would imagine that the human blink reflex is fast enough to shut your eyes down before lasting harm can occur. Sort of like a really sunny day. Looking at the sun causes pain well before it causes lasting damage. If you continue to stare, the pain gets worse.

It's still dimmer than a commercial spotlight, after all. It's not likely to leave shadows on walls a la Fat Man or Little Boy.

I wish the run time was longer. But at least the battery pack is rechargeable and swappable.

INSTA-SUN BURN

That was actually an article about a 4900 Lumen flashlight being produced, and it stated that if you held the flashlight to a human's face for 2 minutes straight, they would lose visibility permanently or very close
