Myself and the handful of the 808th had a really good time. Sadly we missed the first game, but the last two were fairly interesting. Getting the drop on a couple unsuspecting woodland guys and taking them as slaves was pretty awesome, and I liked the idea of actually trying to capture enemies instead of just run and gunning them all down. If this was to be implemented in future games, that would prove to be much fun.
One thing that I found cuts down on Charlie Foxtrot situations immensely is having your entire sqad with coms, which allows for instantaneous info relay. When you know exactly whats going on at any given moment, there is no confusion of who to shoot at the time.
Good job to Juice and PLA for putting this on, and look forward to the next one.

I had a huge blast today.....

Eudorus.. that second game idea was sweet.. It sucks that my XO and myself got captured to end that round.. but the free play role playing was a blast...

Huge thanks to PLA for hosting this game...

Really you should be able to tell when you hit someone multiple times and they don't die, that they are a super soldier. I had a confrontation with a few players when they watched me walk past their line, while every one was aiming at me, turn around, and go at them with my gun shouldered. He then challenged me about not calling my hits. I informed him, again, that super soldiers could not die without a 203 or just a shit load of pain. He continued to throw a little hissy fit about how the super soldiers were gay and shouldn't be there. PEOPLE, IT WAS POSTED HERE, AND IN THE BRIEFING THAT WE WERE VERY HARD TO KILL! If you don't like the rules, then don't f***ing play. /rant
Other then the people that had problems with the f***ing rules, it was a bloody good day.

The problem wasn't that we thought Super Soldiers were 'gay'. I, as many as a lot of other people thought they were a good idea.

But when a super soldier is wearing the SAME CAMO AS YOUR OWN TEAM you tend to not shoot them. And then when they come up to you and safety kill your entire team, and spray the rest, multiple times, and you don't shoot them because they are wearing non-distinctive camo you get a little PISSED OFF.

Then when some GayCU's hack there way across the field and spawn kill your team and march through your spawn pool MULTIPLE TIMES and just go in a circle doing that feeling pretty good about themselves you know something is jacked up.

So we get pretty mad and our team gets rallied up and we march down to the NG spawning pool. Slowly make our way past their defenses and have our sights on them waiting for revenge. Then some out of bounds player walks past and tells them about us and one of there guys comes through and tells us we can't be on there side. NOW WTF.

This is just bull crap. That just pissed me and the rest of my guys off to the point of leaving. My entire squad got 0 kills and told to leave twice after much slow moving tactics the entire first game.

The second game was more fun so my temper was settled and I left on a good note.

The super soldiers were a dumb idea, but I don't think any one has done that before so of course there were going to be problems. I thought it was funny how all of the super soldiers were saying their pretty much an air strike. Last time I checked bombs that hit the ground in a air strike don't grow legs and follow you around with a little pune airsoft guns.

but as for you Tian Nam. the reason the GayCU people were all up in grill was because they searched the whole field for your commander and could not find him. No one could, even your team. So they thought he would be in the spawn like ay every other game in history.

It was actually me that said something to that effect. What I actually said was that we were serving the same function as the air strikes at Mission Mjat, i.e. to break up stalemates at the two major choke points on the field. The super soldiers were also only out on the field for a particular number of minutes, after which, we simply walked back to the ABT shed. Very similar in effect to the air strikes at Mjat, except no Justin running around, yelling "YOU'RE ALL bleeding DEAD".

But yeah, I had a fantastic time today, especially in the second and third rounds, as the whiny, obnoxious people started to leave.

Could the super soldier concept have been implemented better? Yeah. But this was the first time it was done so all things considered it worked pretty well.

I think the biggest issue is that some of the super soldiers really didn't look the part and that made it confusing for people.

The game had its flaws, but it was the first time Juice has put on a game so give him a break. It was a $5 dollar game at a field that normally charges $5 a head anyway.

Constructive criticism is always welcome and appreciated, but please keep the whining to a minimum.

Had a great time today id do it again in a heart beat. The super soldiers were pretty cheap however i did see one get killed so they weren't impossible to kill it was pretty nerve wrecking to pay for a super soldier send him in and have him get killed right off the bat with a grenade lol good game thanks PLA

One of them got killed? Are you sure that they weren't just done with their time?

Yeah I got killed by a grenade.

Since I was using the 65FPS SAW I had to get so close to guys to shoot them, they had no trouble lobbing a grenade at my feet to take me out.

It failed to go off and they had to tell me I was dead after I had killed them cause I didn't even realize it had been thrown.

Guilty as charged. I originally wasn't going to wear a coat, but I decided it was better for me to. I am sorry to any confusion that I caused, and it was alot.

I stood aside for this game to let Juice Machine run it. Juice Machine is 14 years old and is already acting as a team leader, shows up consistently to games, has a good attitude, and just hosted a 60-70 person game.

As far as the reputation of PLA, I'm sure we already have some haters. A lot of other people enjoyed this. I consider the invaluable training Juice Machine got in hosting future games well worth the effort.

PLA will continue to host games, and keep the price at what we think the game is worth. We'll take all the constructive criticism and work on it, making the next game 10x better, as we've been doing with training days, which we'll continue to keep free for new players to get some training in from industry veterans.

I wish I could have gone, but I had family obligations out of state. Great job, Juice.
