Looking to help set up a WW2 game

Discussion of Airsoft use for re-enactment, WWII/WWI airsoft, Vietnam and more.

Obviously I should have clarified... Paras using M1A1s is not necessarily authentic.

The British actually bought the Thompson before the US Army and issued subguns more than the US forces (I heard somewhere in a division of 19,000 US troops there was a whopping 75 Thompsons issued) . Initially the Brits used the M1928T and later the M1A1 when there was a shortage during a redesign of the Sten. They also bought 1911s, M1 Carbines and in the memoirs of one Commando I'm reading right now he had an M1 Rifle (Garand) at Dieppe.

I've seen pics of Paras in Arnhem with M1 Carbines, and in Greece early 1945 with M1928Ts but never a Para with an M1A1. I'll take McNair's word for it though.

yeah, I caught a like 2 second clip of one in Arnhem/Market Garden. That's the only time I've seen let alone heard of one being used.

British infantry did in early war.

There were rare occurrences where British paras carried US weapons such as the Thompson(m1928 most common in early war, I've only seen one picture of one with a M1A1), M1 Carbine, M1911, etc.

I think what you really mean is one that doesn't eject shells.

PM me if you're serious about WWII games and we can consider the possibilities of an indoor WWII event. We can use veneers and surface materials to make CAGE look like a bombed out 1940's city, probably pretty easily.

Turn it into a German bunker complex, or one of the underground headquarters during the fall of Berlin.

Too bad we don't have a bunch of Russians (besides Mini Marine)... we could do a Storming of the Reichstag scenario.

Putting together a Russian uniform is about the cheapest way to go.

We'd just have to suffice in using "captured" German weapons.

I'm pretty sure you can pick up a lot of Soviet stuff in Brighton Beach if you ever go there, seeing that it's run by the Krasnaya Mafiya. WWII airsoft would be awesome if it wasn't so expensive for kits and such.
