Do we need a side arm? Or what we will be doing focus on movements and such rather than firing?

Comms and Sidearms are preferred but not necessary.
My sword runs at 450 FPS, try to out run that! 35+ Sword/Knife Kills and counting.

It was an interesting training opportunity afforded by PLA. Thank's Dan and Zaki for knocking this out.

Training, especially well guided, is an rare thing.

Thanks guys!

Any feedback is appreciated, so we can get better and better training out there.

Slots are still open for today (Sunday) and next weekend. If there are enough people interested, I can come out to CAGE Thursday night and brief SOTA and whomever else is interested in what we did the first weekend, so we can continue on to the more advanced stuff the second weekend.

Only if you pay at the door. If you pre-pay, it'll only cost $15 per day, totaling $30. But, if you go both days on the same weekend, you get the exact same training both days.

EDIT: I had a blast today, I like the methods we learned, and the training was really great. Thanks to everyone who helped out, especially to Dan and Zach. Can't wait for next weekend.

We're beginning a series of player profiles called "Player On Point" we decided we might as well do Dan McKinlay to start with since he put together such a good training event. you can read the article here

Hey, anybody with basic color coordination skills knows that it's important to have things in the same tonal range. If a piece of kit is outside the established pallette, it sticks out like a sore thumb. :)

The first weekend is the first block of instruction, and the second weekend is the second block of instruction.

So people came in Saturday and got the first day, and this coming Saturday they'll come in again and get the next part. Same with the Sundays.

So if you came both days you'd essentially be getting the same training two days in a row. Not always bad. I really enjoyed being there for both days of the first block of instruction.

If you really wanted to, though, you can. I'd make the first day full price ($25) and second day at $15 for anyone that wants to do that.

The first day was extremely crowded, with 25 people. We tried breaking people down into four lanes and that meant some downtime for everyone else.

The second day of the first block of instruction, we had 12 people, and broke it down into 2 groups (PLA & National Guardsmen). It went a lot smoother and quicker, and we got more done.

Also we found out that we could now use the kill-house (plywood house-area) with bb's, so we went through more missions in that area using live opponents.

When I get a short list of what we'll be learning for the second block of instruction, I'll be posting it here.
