is it specifically for recruitment and training, or can we come just to play?

like the flier states it is a recruiting and training event for the No.5 RAC.
I don't know about what other happenings are at the field that day. But I am pretty sure we are the only ones scheduled there at the moment.
You might want to email NW Tactical Adventures to see what else is scheduled for that day.

Hot!

No. 5 RAC always puts up a good training. This is highly recommended if you've never seen British field craft in action.

Are Brit weapon systems a requirement? I'd be interested but I'm curious about that point. Although I think ARES is about to release a L86.

No, strictly British weapons are not a requirement, just totally awesome.

And I think ARES/STAR already has a whole line of British rifles. It's ICS that is coming out with an L86 if I'm not mistaken.

I'd love to but I can't commit just yet. I've got to see the status of my finances. I've been out of work for a couple of months.

I really love seeing a team lay out such a professional looking curriculum. I've been in the market for a team like that.
I currently run a 60. I love the support gunner role. As long as I have a few riflmen that know how to work with a support system.

I'm hoping that I can make this.

Chefzilla,
I am thinking of re-polling the membership about going back to to using NATO weapons.
That way it allows our membership a better selection of AEG/Gas. We do suggest for those who are starting out new is to go with the R85 Army. Right now I can think of about 7 out of the 19 members on roster have them. I also have three in stock for members to purchase at a reduced rate.
As a for the L86, they have been more widely used as a small bore DM weapon than as support gun.. The two support guns I know that are widely used are the M249 and the M240.
I hope you do come out and give us a spin.
