Some people had to leave early, some stuck it out to finish the mission.

Gotta tell you guys, my legs are SOOO-OORE! Slept for damn near 12 hours and snored so bad it feels like I got strep throat - and the ribs are sore from the wife slamming me with her elbow all night to shut me up..

Thanks to everyone that came down from up north and that showed from here to make this OP a fun one. It sucks that PLA and Tacoma had to leave early, I met the Tacoma guys briefly, but didn't get to meet any of you PLA boys.

Highlights of the game for me:
-getting into a 'firefight' with Sovereign in the first 2 hours of the game, and having Goose's AUG streak the top of my scope with a gun hit (There's a 1/2 inch of shiny metal where paint used to be now)
-hearing the cougar go off at the pond end of the field near midnight or so
-sneaking into the outskirts of the 11th camp at 'moonset' and standing near their sentries listening to them talk before safety killing one of their doods.
-getting to meet Poe and his spotter (Bennie, right?) and some other guys I hadn't met before.
-listening to guys talk, and then noises in the forest and trying to tell if it was someone sneaking up, or a bird rattling the underbrush.

Can't wait for the next time we can do a game like this again - I'll see what input I can come up with for a new field while I'm out hunting and get back to you Tim.

I hope the PLA and Tacoma injuries are doing ok - I heard there was a nasty tooth incident that will require some work on it..

Yeah, it was just a messed up leg. It should be good in a few days. Really nasty sprain if I heard correctly. We splinted him up and made him walk all the way to the Galice Road, though. Heh.

Three of our guys just completely forgot about the game (that's their excuses) and didn't show up. Next game we'll do a lot more planning beforehand and come prepared.

Good Game

Postby threader » Mon Sep 28, 2009 2:51 pm

The day and early part of the game were good we had some good firefights.

Everything was pretty exciting as we got into moonlight. Fighting in the moonlight was new for most of our team, we would like to do that again.

After the moon went down about midnight everything changed. With the injury's and no light the 11th felt it was a bad idea to just fling bb's in the dark so we called it a night.

I woke up about 5 am to an empty field, almost! We had 3 snipers and the 11th still there... EVERYONE else was gone, game over.

Look forward to trying this type of game again.

lol, yeah it was at his place as well.

this was a great game. shame on whoever missed out, the 11th airbourne guys are great people aswell. kudos for being "pro" at this and bringing gameplay to level, we almost blasted your asses right before we came out to talk. : ) sorry that we couldnt stay later, due to said leg injury we left, but next time we will get a better map, a COMPASS, and not et our asses lost.

Tim,

Great game and great field. Sorry we had to bail early. I'm going to need a new tooth. I only got to play for the first 1/2 hour, but man it was fun! My guys and I are in for your next one. Can't wait!

OW OW OWWW..

I was afraid of hearing that - sorry it went that way. GP shuts down at a pathetically early time, so there isn't much for dental care. Man, that sucks.
