I hear really good things from alot of people about the 5.11 softshells. Your talking about their "Sabre" Jackets, right?
I'd be down with that, if they had it in OD, and if they didnt cost 200 a pop.

I have a Nike soft shell that I use for biking. Got it from a friend, so I'm not sure how much it would cost, but a little bit of google-fu leads me to believe it'd probably be around $100.

Now, I'm not much of a fan of Nike products, but it is a pretty damn nice jacket. Keeps me just as warm as my peacoat, but breathes a hell of a lot better when it's not cold out.

I'm not excited. The jets were never turned on. Just didn't understand the reference. I had no idea what he was talking about. Unfortunately you cannot hear my tone of voice in these posts.

but thank you for enlightening me.

Variable - let me know how the sizing works out for you...my Explorer fits like a glove but the Robin has all upsidedown up sizing - too tight and short in arms, and big in chest. Def not the best TAD makes.

The arms are fine sizing wise, but the chest is indeed too big (I'm 155#, 6').
It actually fits pretty good though when I'm wearing my fleece underneath it.

The softshell I bought fr ebairsoft is decent quality :)
The sleeves are a little long so I took it to a tailor to shorten them..$25 to fix.
I don't really like the hood, but it is very simple just to fold the hood down inside & zipper up while wearing it.
OK as a daily wear, just don't put stupid patches on the sleeves.

You mean I can't use the Hello Kitty stickers I've been saving just for that?

Hello kitty stickers are fine.
But some people put delta force, SAS, POW, magpul with Xe/blackwater or type O negative..etc on the sleeve :(
If planning to put on patches, it is nice to be tasteful & make sense or just leave it simple as it is.
