Wait, does that mean we can have the epic battle of the Jews discussed in the chat?

PLA WILL PREVAIL!

EDIT, I have a bunch of veggie burgers, for a vegetarian option. I shall bring those.

I've been lurking on this thread, but you've piqued my interest.

First, crabbing in Oregon is NOT closed. I crabbed last Saturday and even talked to the fish cop afterwards. We. Are. Not. Closed. Sorry you have to live in Washington. 8)

Second, why are you limiting yourself to crawfish in the spring? Two weeks ago, we killed them. Are you talking about in lakes, with traps? Usually, this time of year, with a net and snorkel I can get 3-4 pounds out of the right river in 2-3 hours. Oh, and it's warm out while I snorkel/wade.

I do all my smoking on a Weber Smokey Mountain charcoal grill. My pulled pork takes overnight, but I can maintain a low enough temp that way. If you're looking for a new smoker, ever, they're pretty nice.

(back on topic)

Yes, if PLA ever wants to have a training day that revolves around outdoor cooking, I'll try and make it. Hell, if the number of people is reasonable (less than 20 or so), I might even host it at my house. Airsoft on the timber company next door and grilling on my deck....

Vidar, I'm from SW Portland too although we both need rides. Darius137 perhaps, but he always packs a ton of shit in his car.

I got your back. Maybe Vidar too if the Jeep is free. If I got the jeep, I could carry some load from the Neon as well.

We can put that ton of shit in my truck. That's sort of what the bed is for. Then we can put people in Darius's car, like they're supposed to be for.

I'm thinking we're going to need a Training Day that revolves more around BBQ or cooking than airsoft in the near future. :D

October we won't be having a training day due to the CQB training I'm about to announce, but November will be cold and we can do a BBQ then.

And Wombat, I'll send you a PM about the gear for the thingy.

I'll be PM'ing all the trainers for this later today about the plan, then post the Training Day schedule/itinerary sometime tonight or tomorrow.

ALSO, all are invited to this. No camouflage restrictions. I'll have arm-bands for the skirmish as well.

Darius,

If you wish to have a Culinary training day just let me know. I'd be more than happy to give training on basic knife skills, kitchen terms and etiquette and basic cooking skills. I'd even waive normal fee of $45 an hour.

;) :D

I have some experience in outdoor cooking...but its been far too long since I've put it to use and my skills are rather rusty

You think the marines can afford that? They make them pay for their own gear/uniforms.
