AIRSOFT PACIFIC & PDXCAGE PRESENT
COUNTER-STRUCK
A Counter-Strike themed live CQB event at PDX CAGE with Terrorists vs. Counter-Terrorists!

WHEN: October 17-18, 2009
WHERE: PDX-CAGE - 9348 N. Peninsular, Portland OR
COST: $25 at the door (or Pay in Advance Here)
RENTALS: Rental AEGs are available from Airsoft Outlet Northwest.
SAFETY RULES: Standard Airsoft Pacific safety rules apply, see below for game rules.
AGE LIMIT: PDX-CAGE age limits (12 and up)
WAIVERS: You need an Airsoft Pacific Waiver and a PDX Cage waiver (available at the location)
PLAYER HANDBOOK: Download PDF

DETAILS:
COUNTER-STRUCK is a live action CQB event using the entire PDX CAGE facility to provide 2 separate maps for Counter-Terrorist vs. Terrorist objective based skirmishes. Each map will host up to 10 vs 10 players. This fast-paced timed urban combat will definitely get your adrenaline pumping.

HOW THE GAME WORKS

One map will be a bomb scenario like de_dust for example, the other is a hostage rescue map such as cs_office. Each map takes up roughly half of the PDXCAGE building and allows for up to 10 vs 10 at a time.

Each round lasts 10 minutes, and they are single elimination. Just like the classic game, once you die, you are out for the remainder of the round. There's a brief 2 minute reload break between rounds (we advise you have quick loaders waiting at respawn). Each map will have admins to inform players when rounds have ended.

HOW TO REGISTER

RSVP by replying in this thread, let us know if you plan on playing as a Terrorist or a Counter-Terrorist, and what day you'll be there. If you want, pay in advance via PayPal any time before the day of the event.

Uniform Suggestions:
These uniforms are not required, but are strongly suggested so we can easily separate the teams without having to use armbands. Please do your best to stay within the requirements listed below. Thanks!

Terrorist Uniforms: Woodland, Urban, Tan, Street Cloths. (Or any CS costume based on default skins)
Counter-Terrorist Uniforms: Matching BDUs in - Black, Navy, OD, MARPAT, ACU, Multicam (Or any CS costume based on default skins)

EVENT SPECIFIC RULES

Refer to the PLAYER HANDBOOK for all rules and information.

Here are a few basic rules to be aware of:

Switching Teams: If you have multiple uniforms - YOU CAN switch sides from CT to T as often as you'd like - but you may need to hang out in the waiting area for a while before being re-inserted into the game.

Mag Restrictions: Real capacity only, no hi-caps. Mid-Cap or Standard-Cap mags ARE ALLOWED, but should only be loaded to the real capacity of the weapon. But what if I'm renting a gun from AONW and it comes with a hi-cap? Don't fret, we'll have our own real-capacity M4 and MP5 magazines for use at the event in the respawn area.

SAWs are restricted to 300 round hi-caps or 500 rounds in the box magazine. Assault rifles with box magazines are not allowed.

Sniper Rifles are only allowed if under 330 fps with a .20g BB. Keep in mind, due to the limit this is probably the dumbest thing in the world to carry one of these instead of an SMG or an AR.

FRS or GMRS Radios are RECOMMENDED, this is how you stay connected to what's happening in the game. These are cheap, can be bought or borrowed from almost anyone or anywhere - so please do bring one. We also recommend using an ear bud so you don't piss everybody else off with all the noise you are making, but that's up to you.

When you are HIT, yell "HIT!" as normal, pull out your death rag and hold it out - immediately move out of the way and go back to your respawn area to wait for the next round to start.

Rubber Knives are allowed; knife kills are achieved by tapping another player anywhere on the back with your rubber dummy knife or training knife. Please don't throw, slash, stab, jab or hit with your knife.

Policy on midcaps and standards? Or strictly 30-round midcaps?

I am certainly down for being a Hostage. I need to be saving my money so I will definatly be down for hostage duties :). "That is if I don't have to be paid to be a hostage"

-And if anyone is my size and wants to dress up as a "Urban Counter Terrorist" I have the exact outfit for it.

Sleepy It is stated that it is only Real Cap Mags.

You can prepay now using this link if you want, as an individual. I'll get some "official" payment links up soon.

You can use mid-cap or standard capacity spring loaded magazines if you are still going to load 30 in them. We'll have 30rd loading rods and some admin folks around to ensure everyone is keeping the real capacity.

I shall be a diminutive hostage. This sounds extremely fun.

No, hostages do not have to pay. They are volunteers, they actually get compensated for helping out.

Ryan and I had talked about NOT restricting the mags, but then we considered that the magazine change is probably one of the single most important moments in CS. If you run out of rounds at the wrong time, you're upsidedown. The tactical mag change is one of the coolest things about CQC/CQB.
