I think he means a waiver.

If so, I know that my mom somehow made another player my legal guardian for a game, so he could sign waivers and such, so if you do that, then you should be fine.

I don't know. It doesn't seem right, because that basically gives another person the ability to sign over your child's legal rights. Most events allow you to print the waiver beforehand, so you can go and find it, print it off and then have your/their parents sign before you leave.

Generally, no.

Waivers for minors MUST be signed by the LEGAL PARENT/GUARDIAN of the child (you). Your friend's mom cannot sign for you, unless she has signed an authorization for the temporary guardianship of a minor, which would have to be publicly notarized and look something like this:

I think his point is legitimate. If i was 16 and 3 other of my friends were 16 and wanted to go airsofting would it really be practical for all 4 of the parents to bring there kids to the event or just 1 parent?
