That was major fun, and it really was relaxed. Scappoose is an awesome field. I don't know what's wrong with me, it may be some permanent geographical impairment, but I did get lost during the manhunt skirmish.

Should have taken notes.

Thank you Darius137 for organizing this well and putting so much effort and money into it. I would love to help in any way possible for your next events.

I think 20 showed up. Maybe at the high point it was 25.

It was a learning experience for me. I took a cash hit, but now I have more "props" for future events. Things like 10 gallong water jugs, folding tables, and Ollie's m249 he left.

Pictures will be posted on PLA "Media" page, as well as the video when that gets finished.

Scappoose was indeed an awesome field. It just happened to have more mosquitoes than trees on Saturday, haha. If I haven't missed any, I believe I am the proud owner of eighteen itchy mosquito bites!

However, I'd say the training and all the fun we had out there would have been worth twice as many. I'm definitely looking forward to running with you all more in the future, when I find some means of gainful employment to pay for gear, ammo, events, etc.

Heck, I'd have just been happy if it was just Darius dancing around in his fantastic M90 pants. Those were absolutely amazing.

Also, we should think about perhaps changing the end of the directions for the Scappoose field to...

6. After 1.5 miles or so you'll enter forest again, and the road will turn from paved to gravel, make the first turn on the right, and park next to the gate. You've arrived!

There were three of us drivers running about for a half hour in the middle of nowhere trying to figure out where the dang field was, and which road it was up.

Those are just copy and pasted directions and I didn't plan ahead enough to make them better. But I've noted that for future events I put up, thanks!

I need to videotape the trip and speed it up and make a 45 minute youtube video. hah

I'm going to be planning another in about two months. I just need to save up some more money. I lost about $200 on hosting this one. Plus had to worry about securing 13 loaner guns and full gear.

This was a test for me both in hosting events, hosting training, and testing how long it would take to train people in specific facets of airsofting.

How much money do you need to host? I don't mind helping out a bit.

I'll charge for games that are worth charging for. A lot of the money went towards uneaten food and items needed to host games (10 gallon water jugs, tables, etc. Stuff that I can use for future games).

I'll be eating hamburgers and hotdogs for the rest of August though. ;)

Pictures from Scythe are up!

And the M90--though a very bright repro of them--actually doesn't look that bad in the woods.
