Tomorrow(Saturday) Scappooose Training Day/BBQ/Velociraption

Postby Darius137 » Fri Aug 14, 2009 10:37 pm

Hey all. Just picked up the food. Targets made. I have about a dozen weapons for free loaner to people who show up. They'll be at the lanes.

Starts at nine. Bring what you can, and girls and whatever you want to drink that isn't Gatorade. I have 20 gallons of Gatorade.

The food is standard BBQ: Burgers, Hot Dogs, chips, gatorade, MRE's.

The vegetarian option is Turkey.

BB's are $6 for unlimited use from the tubs at each station/lane.

9am. Directions in the field tab and posted much else. I'll be up charging weapons and getting shit ready. Bring people who have never played airsoft who should at least try it out. If anything, it's a BBQ

Weather is cloudy/sunny, highs of 72, lows of 49. Bring appropriate attire, boots, women, alcohol, condoms, cameras, airsoft weapons, bbs, batteries, gimps and money.

I'll be bringing 2 extra AEGs, a shotgun, and a bolt for training purposes and/or loaning them to whoever needs them.

If anyone can lend me a large type battery 9.6 for a full stock M16 stock that'd be awesome (paging jenna).

I will have a p90 for people to fondle and use. Has a M4 length barrel in it.

See you prawns there

I just checked the weather, 10% chance of rain in the morning, dropping to 0% from noon to 1.

Definitely looking forward to getting out there tomorrow. Just wish I had some proper mag pockets... (Nox has been kind enough to offer to send some up, but he's been busy moving lately.) Alas, I'll make do with what I have for now. (Thanks again Nox!)

I'm bringing extra web gear and molle pouches. It might be mismatched, but it'll be there. :D

Operator you may borrow my battery.
See you guys later. Yes I will be lacking sleep as usual. Yes I will be wired out of my mind like a caffeine fiend.

*shakes head* the burgers were all cow-meat. Afatcow meat!

Turkey dogs were there.

Thanks to all who came out. It was a fun, relaxed day. I learned a lot about hosting training events, which was the goal, along with 3 specific people attending, all of which did.

I spent 100x more time trying to get people to come than actually planning, and Juice Machine, Eudorus and Mini Marine all performed beautifully. The realities of training meant we focused more on two lanes (fire and maneuver and SRM/Individual weaponry) more than the other two, so we actually got bumped (myself included) but we train to standard, not to time.

I'll be doing more of these as time goes on. But the biggest losses of cash I incurred were because of food. I think I'll do another training event, but leave food up to the operator.

Overall, great game! Thanks for showing up.

I really should have come to this. Next time I will most assuredly try to be there, as I could use some training.
