I bet if we paypal-ed Fred a few bucks he'd get them done faster. Seeing as how he doesn't get paid to do this, and only makes money off the pics if someone buys prints...

We got our filthy claws in them. They wandered into our territory and I needed someone to talk to.

Pictures should come before videos. Plus I want a new avatar if you have any pics of me. I know you stood infront of me plenty of times taking pictures of me so I couldn't shoot.

Indeed. Though I could use a pic for my profile. And the video of the coup...
The game was pretty awesome, I'm not surprised we're impatient.

...but one thing...the APC rules were annoying...you should be able to shoot exposed passengers/drivers on the APCs (not have them be invincible until the vehicle is dead)...and you should be able to disable APCs by either grenading them (not just rocket them) or shooting the drivers (if possible)

...and whatever happened to the scientist? The only time I saw her was before the game started at the briefings...then she disappeared

but anyhow...I enjoyed the clusterfuck of a game...looking forward to the next one

The reason why you can't disable them by shooting the drivers or the gunner is that they have a top speed of 10 MPH for safety. If you could shoot them, they would become a bullet magnet and die almost instantly after entering the field. Basically, they would be useless.

Ha! That's hilarious. I could process 100s of photos in about 3 hours and have them posted up. Takes 3 hours just to log, review, and capture video. That's not even starting on the editing yet, which can be 20 hours easily.

That happened anyway. People were setting up ambushes of fully-automatic fire just to "distract us." They knew we couldn't die from it, so they held down their triggers so we wouldn't shoot them. Gunny, Angelo, Ollie, and I all got about a magazine dumped on each of us from about a half dozen shooters around the Rebel Camp area. It was a pretty tool move on their part, actually. I'm sure they thought it was clever.

I think vehicle rules need to allow for the crew dying from gunfire, and if people want to armor their vehicle up to prevent this, then they may do so as long as it's not retarded looking enough that the event host disallows it from use.

The alternative is to disallow firing at vehicles entirely, but I think a lot of people get confused if someone's shooting at them from a vehicle and they cannot fire back. This much was proved at GS3, since no cars were supposed to have been fired upon, yet I was constantly screaming out my windows to stop shooting my car.

Well, the problem here is that I never intended for regular trucks to be used as armored vehicles. The most annoying thing happening here is when a truckload of people, who are completely exposed to regular small arms fire, drive down and start shooting at you.

I think there should be 2 classes of vehicle:

1. Armored: An armored vehicle with mounted or internal guns. Impervious to regular small arms fire. This vehicle can shoot the shit out of you and you can't do anything about it unless you have a LAW, M203 with foam projectile, or you can throw grenade into a hatch or an opening.

2. Technicals: Are all regular vehicles, jeeps, etc. Vulnerable to small arms fire. You can shoot the gunner(s) and the driver. Once all people are dead in the vehicle, including the driver, they turn on their flashers or raise their flag and drive to a spawn point. A law rocket or anti-vehicle projectile will disable the vehicle and kill everyone inside. They'll wait 5 minutes then drive to respawn.

Honestly, I'd rather avoid regular vehicles being out in the field, except in situations where they are appropriate to the storyline. For example, if we were simulating Mogadishu and we wanted technicals, any ratty old vehicle could work. I'd rather not have people using vehicles just for the sake of using vehicles, I'd rather see cool custom mil-sim vehicles out there... Or the real deal, of course.
