Zeta, if there is legitimate, verifiable damage to your vehicle, you should have filed a claim with your insurance company and a police report this morning. If you have not, then do so. Is it possible that the damage could have been the result of some kind of accident or negligence by someone? To my knowledge, theft has never been a major issue at these games. The cost of providing security would either fall on the field owner or, more likely, the event promoter, which, in turn, would be absorbed by the players. I don't want to pay even more for events because of one incident where nothing was even stolen. If it becomes a major issue, then we as a community can address it. Until then, safely store your gear in a locked vehicle, out of sight.

Yeah, that was me. After he shot Tyler, I dropped him. Any day I get to shoot Randal is good in my book.

About 2 minutes later I got confronted by 3-4 Corp guys asking me if we turned rogue... as if I'd just blurt it out. :D I explained to them that we were doing something and they were getting our way, and if they wanted to shoot us, they could go ahead as it wouldn't change things. At this point, I realized that 5-6 of us were paying close attention to the situation, and were at the low ready around them on 3 sides. I filled them in on their predicament, and they opted to get back into the fight against the Guard.

About that time, Tim recovered the bio tube, and we skated out of dodge.

I got pretty wrapped up in having fun. For as high as the expectations seemed to be for this game, I wasn't disappointed at all. Total blast.

Also, re the G&G snipers thing, you guys really need to quit giving them shit for switching sides. As far as I know, that was an admin call, and giving them flak for following that directive is silly at best.

On the other hand, as far as Ollie's complaint goes, shazaam that, frankly. No sniper should be firing their bolt weapon that close. Makes me wonder what kind of circumstances this even happened in. I was running with a bolt as a squad leader, and I never was even in a situation to engage at less than 75 feet or so, at the closest.

They aren't giving them shit directly. It was an admin call, but it confused some people... even though I communicated it with both sides over the radio (and had confirmation). Still, if they had different BDUs to switch to that would have been better. In hindsight I would have said no.

Well, I wasn't there, but I just talked to someone who was reffing patball there. Apparently, a bunch of paintballers heard a car alarm go off, but thought nothing of it.

Also, He says the field owner had his pistol stolen, or at least he can't find it.

I remember hearing that every time I've been there.
I remember hearing a car alarm go off during the game. I believe someone next to me said "Nope, not mine."

We weren't told that this time, and even when they do tell us they still try to get paintballers out there.

You had the field until 2:30, at 2:30, John gave me a go ahead to take them out and we took a group out to a hidden field. I had some airsofters come onto the field to grab some gear so I had to stand in front of them covering there face, safety is my number 1 concern, airsoft and paintball.

Because the event was not posted on the Splat Action website we/I had no idea an event like that was going on. To be honest, I may not be into that kind of woodsball thing but it sure looked damned fun.

John lost or had a pistol stolen from him during the event. He told me that the guys working there (airsofters) didnt lock up the night before and that they were working there all morning. He is blaming no-one (at least from what I know) and I havent talked to him since so I dont know if he found it or not.

I was hanging out around a truck near the shack with other paintball refs who worked there, we heard a car alarm go off on two times, but we thought nothing of it.

Props on tank whoever had it. 8)
It sure looked top heavy.

I know nothing of that but however, I did see a walk on group throwing paintball at cars. I stopped them. Be aware they were walk ons and not "real" paintballers as you would call it.

That's too bad about the pistol. I've never been asked to lock up the office, it's always been done for me in the past. I noticed that it was still open late at night. I didn't have a key anyway, so unless those doors can be locked from the outside there's not much I could have done about it. Honestly I don't think John should be held liable to replace the pistol, the guy left it at the field to begin with. It wouldn't have been there if he hadn't forgotten it in the first place. If he has a $400 GBB pistol you'd think the guy would take better care of it.

I didn't notice the paintballers on the field this time, but frankly, for a cheap game like this I don't really mind if you guys run some paintball on the side. Gotta pay the bills.
