GRID 18: Words of Advice

Postby ZEUS » Fri Jan 20, 2006 5:38 pm

Hello all,

I just want to let everyone know I really appreciate all of the response we are getting for this OP. It has really blown me away.

I wanted to take this opportunity to talk about a few aspects of the game and let you know what my expectations are from all of you.

First of all, I cannot emphasize enough how important it is for you to be there on time. To be geared up and ready to go, and MOST IMPORTANTLY be there for the BRIEFINGS.

I WILL NOT TOLERATE anyone who I hear saying they didn’t understand a certain aspect of the game. Or who complains because they didn’t understand the rules. YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUPER ULTRA ATTENTIVE during the briefings with no background gibber jabber going on. It really pisses me off to hear someone complain, when it was there own fault for not paying attention.

This is very important not only for you, but for everyone else at the OP. In order to fully enjoy the day, we all need to know what we are doing at all times. If you feel that you cannot handle it, then please do not attend. And if you don’t understand something, PLEASE ASK for clarification.

Since this is such a large OP I will be relying on Team leaders to really step it up on making sure your teams are ready to play. We could be looking at 75 players on each side, which is a huge task to keep them working together and on the same page.

I can already foresee the grenade as being a “hot spotâ€

Good advice 8)

just so you know, as per our previous discussion on the frag grenade, you said that if you accidently drop a grenade, you are dead. Know the ones I have come up with will have the fully functioning spring/spoon. So once you pull the pin you have to hold the spoon down. So it is completely like tyhe real one, minus the weight and the matter of explosion. But I just weanted to clearify, since mine will have the spring functional spoon, if its dropped but the pin/spoon are still attached we would be ok, correct, or will that not matter...

If you drop a grenade by ""accident"" and I ""see"" you do it, you are dead as well as anyone around you.

ANOTHER NOTE: As stated in the FIRST POST about this game, we WILL be chronographing ALL GUNS. (well, ok maybe not GBB pistols). FPS limits are posted on the AP safety rules page. If you're over the limit, you better find another gun to use or you won't be playing.

If you own em, use em if you need to.

ANOTHER NOTE: Bring cash if you want BBQ, the field owner is grilling up hotdogs and hamburgers. I believe his prices were about $5 for a meal (which comes with chips and a drink).
