I won't, they require paintball masks.

Airsoft Hawaii Website wrote:Airsoft Hawaii requires that all masks cover a player's eyes, face, and ears. Only paintball goggle systems are allowed in use.

They require paintball masks, blue or red jerseys and everyone's gun has to have a shiny laqure paintjob.

Just to clarify, the paintball masks are a requirement because of safety reasons. After over 18 years of hosting games, Airsoft Hawaii has found that paintball masks provide the best protection.

The games will be alot more scenerio based and less paintsoft. One goal of the BASH is to show that airsoft can be played in many types of forms; not just full on milsim.

Many sponsors are planning to attend the event and while I cannot disclose who is coming, all I can say is that in the past we have had many american, japanese retailers and hong kong retailers show up. The amount of prizes given away at last years ASH BASH totalled over $20,000.

I can say from the past 3 years I attended the event (as a player and not as event staff) that the gameplay was not the only thing that brought me back; it was the overall atmosphere of the event.

More updates are coming soon so I wouldn't let one little requirement deter you from the event.

Well, since full-on MILSIM is the reason I play airsoft, I guess this event isn't for me. :)

I wish you good luck, though.

Come on now guys, you've all played at fields that require full face protection. I think that this might actually be a good way to get the word out about AP and have some fun while we're at it. I'd like to at least entertain the notion of sending a convoy down there.

I won a free class at The real cool indoor CQC place in Everett. I wont go because they want me to wear a mask.

If I have to wear a gas mask its one thing BUt there better be OC in the air.

Alright, great, wonderful. Stay the hell on topic, this isn't a thread about what you think of MASKS. If that were the case, we'd have 300 replies that all say the SAME THING. Oregon Airsofters are dicks, we know. Sorry.

I would certainly consider going, however i find a distinct lack of information, especially the major concern regarding cost for entry?

As stated in the original post, updates are coming soon. For the price, I have not been told the information yet however last years ASH BASH had a cost of $35. That included a raffle ticket and a player packet full of free stuff from various airsoft companies and retailers. I cannot guarentee the price will be the same but Airsoft Hawaii is a non profit organization and whatever the field requests per player is usualy the price we put it at. I would expect it to be around the same price but i'm not guarenteeing anything.

Dantes: Thanks for that comment. Haha
