Why do many avoid NW Tactical Adventures and their events?

Postby eagle eye » Wed Jun 17, 2009 8:30 pm

Over time i have noticed that a large majority of AP members have shown absolutely no interest in participating in NWTA's events.

-The field is very large in size at about 165 acres.
-Very local (Beavercreek, OR).
-Very fun and challenging.

I would love to see some interest from more members ;)

NWTA is operated by one of the Ghosts members based in Portland, Oregon. They are not looking to take away any of business that other companies bring in.

:EDIT: Oh, they have a website apparently http://nwtacticaladventures.com/default.aspx

It actually looks like a decent field. You guys ever hosted an OP?

NWTA was going to host an op called "Welcome to Hell", but only Nasty was the one that signed up for that event. By the way NWTA is trying to host another event but there seems to be no interest from the majority of the airsoft community.

Um... who? I can't say I'm avoiding it if I've never heard of it.

EDIT: It looks like Scappoose, only the games aren't free.

Who?

Actually I've wanted to head out there and go to one of their events, but they've always conflicted with a prior engagement (so far).

Been out there and walked part of the field.. If I was going to pay money for an event, it will be an OP, not a skirm..

you guys could do what we do at my field in the bay area. hold a op competition. whoever designs the best op taking into account use of most of the field, wins a prize. it might be tac gear or bbs or a gun, but it encourages the community to get out there on a limb and be creative. also lets you get ideas for future ops from those not chosen.

Let 'em play for free the first time or two to get name recognition.

If you charge for an OP, it should be structured well, admin'd well, and with props.

Big turnouts don't happen over night. AP used to host small skirms and could barely bring 20 people out. Now we have to cap attendance for fear that too many people will show up. It'll grow, keep it up!

I've been wanting to check out that field for some time but I haven't had a chance yet. I probably will soon.
