Is this airsoft or real steel?
I'm guessing airsoft?

Airsoft event.

Can you pick which events to compete in? For instance I think I could get one friend to come with me, so could we compete in event 1 and 2 and skip 3? Or is this an all or nothing format...

Either way I'm there

Sure!

We ran into some problems with this as well. So, our over all entry is lower (Forty dollars, instead of the sixty it would take to profit), to keep it simple. Everyone pays forty dollars. If you can field a "team" in all three phases, awesome! If you can't make it on day two, well, at least you only paid forty instead of sixty. :) We will have a list of those who show without a team as well, so you can put together what you want on-site.

Just remember it puts you out of the third phase and overall awards, unfortunately. There will still be prizes and whatnot for the first two phases, however!

you should tally a winner for each section and a king of the hill over all champion for people that compete in all three.

Just a couple of questions as im looking at getting a couple of our guys to head on out and just want to clarify some things..

What is a velocity limit for the event? Is there a different limit for the free play?

Are there Mid Cap or Real Cap restrictions?

Thats all i need to know.

Thanks

400 FPS all around.

Any mag you want. There will be clearly laid out "Reload" lines in the lanes.

You will be firing on targets so the fps limit is 400.

The NW Airsoft Cup has been moved to August 22nd, the day before Faction Wars 2.0

This was done in an effort to generate more interest, build a more dynamic A.O. and to give more players the time to find a partner.

We will open the field Friday the 21st at 6pmish for those who want to camp out the night before the Cup. Hopefully this makes it easier for some of you to get to Faction Wars as you too will be allowed to camp Friday night as well. We will probably have a skirm Friday night as we will have several of our players there as well as those coming to the Cup and FW2.0, we can not be on this field for long without a shoot out breaking out :D

Thank you Riddick for your understanding and cooperation.

That sucks, doubt me or any of my cohorts that were planning on coming will be able to afford driving down or Oregon twice in August...

Guess we will just do Grid 18 only.

You could generate more interest by having winners of each section rather than taking people out of the running because they choose not to compete in all three. I used to travel and race R/C cars and one of the most popular races was in Vegas which incorporated two classes of modified touring car, one on foam tires (popular in the US) and one on rubber tires (popular in Europe). Winners were crowned in each class as well as a "king of the hill" prize for the person who averaged the best results in both. Just a suggestion.

Anyway, good luck. Too bad you had to change the date.

Postby rebelvirginian » Tue Jul 14, 2009 10:04 pm

Hello Steve, is there still time to sign up for this event on 25july? if so I would like to go for the weekend so my question(s) is this . do I have to find 5 other people to organize a team? or are teams assigned? also could someone be willing to give (hitch) a ride down and share some fuel costs?

They moved the event to August, just in time to conflict with other events that everyone is going to...

If I'm not mistaken, I believe it was done to be convenient to everyone who already has so many games to go to. That way, some of the couple hundred people already going to Faction Wars would be able to do this at the same time without extra planning and gas money; two birds with one stone.

This won't be the last time they run this event! Hopefully the dates will be more accessible for you next time! :)
