Operation Pegasus

Postby SA Jeremy » Tue May 19, 2009 11:17 am

The country of Zamunda has long been the scene of everything from political turmoil to tribal violence to civil war, with the ruling class changing as often as the wind shifts direction across the Sahara to the north. Since independence from Belgium in 1964, Zamunda has gone from independent democracy to military dictatorship to anarchy.

Global Ventures, a mining exploration company based in Suffolk, UK, recently sent a team into Zamunda to conduct a geologic survey. What they found was astounding: Zamunda might be sitting atop one of the largest untapped supplies of oil in Western Equitorial Africa. With a pipeline from the oil fields to the port – and capital city – of Elizabethtown, the oil supplies of Zamunda could be shipped to refineries in Great Britain, Europe or the southeastern United States.

The problem is the political instability within the country. No company would risk having their people killed and their property nationalized in the name of the coup of the week. What Zamunda needs is a leader to break this seemingly unending line of revolts and coups.

That man is Professor Richard Mkebe, a pro-Democracy leader of the people who was forced out of the country by Army commander – and current Zumunda strongman – Colonel Omar Kinshasa. Mkebe’s discussions to the students at the University of Zamunda about democracy were a beacon of hope for the people of the country … and a threat to the ruling class.

Here's where you come in. What side do you stand on? Will you take up arms as a member of the Zamundan Defense Forces and protect the people of Zamunda from the former colonial powers? Or will you side with money-hungry mercenaries that would seek to exploit Zamunda's natural resources for profit?

Right now Global Ventures is contracting with the Brussels, Belgium-based corporate security firm Worldwide Security International (WSI) to raise and train a mercenary force to go into Zamunda for the purpose of removing Colonel Kinshasa from power and installing Professor Mkebe as the newly appointed leader of the nation. That operation has been code word designated Pegasus.

Because they don’t want to raise too much suspicion within the United Nations, the mercenary force WSI is raising will be limited to 60 hand-picked personnel from the cream of the crop of Special Operations forces from the US, NATO and former Warsaw Pact countries. They will be managed and paid through a shell company out of the Cayman Islands without any links to either WSI or Global Ventures. If captured or killed both companies have plausible deniability on their side and will be able to avoid any scrutiny within the UN.

On the other hand, the Zamundan Defense Forces are beefing up their internal security to prevent the Europeans or any of their confederates from stealing what is rightfully theres.

So which side will you choose?

Still plenty of slot available for this one. If you want to make the trip over from the West side there is free camping available with the city of Colville just a stones throw away. This Operation has everything you can hope for in a well planned and fun filled event.

I also heard something about a possible bear garden and poker tourney to keep everyone occupied when the sun goes down. For those of you that are 21 and older that is...

Is there a main page for this event to look at uniform requirements and last day of registration? Maybe a few pictures of where the game will be held at?

The field is bordered by highway 395 (top), Greenwood lp rd (left) the river/creek runs through the middle of it where we are able to have beach assaults etc.

This is the same field as the Bushmaster series:

http://www.spokaneairsoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=5694

Major (Colville) river running through it, with alot of tall grass and cottonwood and hawthorne trees. The hawthorne trees actually make little tunnels and pockets that are really cool. It also has some builtup areas as well.

Fun!
