Thanks for that, None of us knew....

We better call Warpaint and Splataction and tell them Treadhead thinks they are gay and they should shut down. We should also tell Riddick, TOP and BSP(all people who have used a gay paintball field to run licensed and insured games), maybe KATU News as well. The word needs to get out....

Look Tread when you pissed on us out of Disrespect and double booked our date, a date we chose because NO ONE ELSE DID, we didnt flame you or go on your boards saying how the field you are using is weak and typical to every other free skirm in the land did we?

SO lets just agree to leave each other out of our lives, our posts and our games...

I think you need some loudspeakers playing prayer 5 times a day for realism.

WOW! You guys really get that upset when someone says paintball is gay? When I posted our game for may 2, that date was open, then magically IA2 added saturday. That was fine with me, could care less about the competition getting offended. We are not competing for your customers, we have our own clients that do not wish to roll around in paintballs. I am very happy for you, you may very well be able to out do Disneyland. We have our business to run and only wanted to offer players another option than playing on a paintball field. I do not think it's fair to say that we pissed on you out of disrespect and you guys originally chose may 3rd. Again, getting that offended because I said paintball fields are gay is a bit over the top. I have nothing against your field, never been to it. Nothing against you or your people. Our field is licensed and insured, we do not plan on doing free skirmishes, that would not make sense. Splat Action is a good field, for a paintball field, I've played there a few times but in the end, it's only a paintball field. I know BSP and Riddick as fellow airsofters and they are great, venues are tough to come by especially ones that do not allow paintballs regardless of whether or not paintballs are being used. I remember a 300 player OP at Splat Action a while back, distinctly remember paintballers were playing at the top of the field even though it was supposed to be airsoft only.
I do not know if you play paintball at your field, but I've been to warpaint indoor and have heard about warpaint outdoor. I know from experience that paintballers get offended easily just by making a very general statement about their hobby.
I certainly hope that warpaint and splat action stay in business, they just need to keep the paintballs inside of their buildings so that everything won't look like it was tagged. Paintball fields need to go one step further, give back all the markers to the loggers, that's why markers were invented.
I guess in closing I should say that I wish you well in your business. We are heading in a different direction than the promoters out there. All the guys running these events can pretty much handle a little sarcasm, but I guess not everyone. Have a nice day.

I'm not saying you fit the following demographic Treadhead, because I don't know you or your history.

However, please tell me this: what makes a bunch of 13-30 year old kids, a lot of which wouldn't last in any branch of the armed forces due to lack of physical strength, common sense, or just basic, everyday intelligence, parading around in camouflage and facepaint with toy guns any less gay than paintball.

If anything, you would have to draw a parallel between the two games (airsoft and woodsball) and say they are identical. Only thing is, one game's guns don't look real, and aren't supposed to.

Wow. This guy doesn't like paintball, does he?

I'm offended. See--even us ex-paintball players are easily offended.

OK maybe this will clear one thing up about the difference between Paintball and Airsoft.

1. Question: "what makes a bunch of 13-30 year old kids, a lot of which wouldn't last in any branch of the armed forces due to lack of physical strength, common sense, or just basic, everyday intelligence, parading around in camouflage and facepaint with toy guns any less gay than paintball".

Answer : The same reason why 18 year old kids that sometimes have a lack of physical strength, with respect for the USA, will gladly parade around in camouflage and facepaint. Usually during basic training, if a person lacked common sense, they would either develop some or get chaptered out. The "toy guns" you speak of from are pretty close to the real steel counterpart. A very large percentage of recruits will make it into the armed forces and proudly do so for many years.
I am 45 years old and a proud veteran of the United States Army and received an honorable discharge while serving for 6 years during the cold war.
One big difference between airsofters and paintballers is that airsofters use integrity and honor when playing airsoft. While paintballers use markers that were never meant to look like a real replica training weapon, and a majority of the time, paintballers will cheat and wipe off paint or even frequently when the balls do not break, even a ref will not call that player out. I've seen paintballers dressed up like Ronald McDonald, clowns, Star Trek cast members, wearing brightly colored outfits. And tell me why paintball is not gay.

"If anything, you would have to draw a parallel between the two games (airsoft and woodsball) and say they are identical. Only thing is, one game's guns don't look real, and aren't supposed to".

Don't even try to draw a parallel between airsoft and paintball, the two are night and day and paintball will never even be looked upon as anything more than a bunch of college kids freezing their paintballs and shooting the elderly while videotaping the whole time. Woodsball is a pathetic attempt at simulated combat so please don't insult the airsoft community.

Please shut the hell up. You had no right saying anything about Warpaint or Steves field. Paintball or not, the field is new and awesome. And if you are that much of an elitist dickhole, I'm glad you won't be joining us at any games hosted at Steve's field.

Now sit down and shut up.
