where to join a unit?

Postby andymac » Wed Apr 01, 2009 3:03 pm

Hello,

I was wondering where one could join an airsoft unit or club, preferably of historic focus...WWII to be precise. I have reenacted WWII, 1st ID impression, also 1st Para (Brit airborne) I have heard of THE WAR DEPT. Are there any others? I live in Seattle, any units/clubs near or within driving distance not exceeding 300+ miles? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Most of the members of the airsoft group RAC5 did or still do reenacting, and know the Portland and surrounding area.

I run the largest Fallschirmjager outfit in the PNW, if you are interested in FJ let me know. I can also hook you up with other units if you want to do something else more.

Most of us live around Seattle but we have people in ID and OR

BTW the wardepartment is just an event running non-profit, we have not set ourselves up to be a club like in normal reenacting. We plan to host 2 WWII events a year that bring together classic BF reenactors with airsoft reenactors.

Check out BattleSim down in Tacoma. They actually have something coming up Memorial day Weekend (at least I think so). Check out Battlesim.com.

Actually the two WWII events that were run by Battesim are now being run in conjunction with the war department.

The War Department is the main event organizer now, Battlesim is providing logistics

Instead of Memorial day the event is now on D-Day
