So? I was on duty a day and a half after I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled. Granted, I sat at my desk and slept/drooled for 6 hours, but regardless! Come, and we can use you as bait. Example:

Enemy #1: "Whys that guy laying there?"
Enemy #2: "I don't know, maybe we should see if he's alright"
Enemy #1: "You ok?" *nudges you* "Oh shit I think he's hurt"
Enemy #2: "Why's he drooling?"
Enemy #1: "......Oh shit! It's a trap!"

Plus you can probably try to sell whatever pain meds you have left over, just make sure I don't see and mix them in with the BBs

ehhhh ;)

Hi I would like to attend the even however everyone i play with only owns old US camo (woodland..). When do we have to sign up by? Also we need to get the HUTU units but ran into a snag with PAYPAL!
Is there somewhere we can camp officially? (I heard that we could) what are the times of actual play both days?
Thank you for any and all info especially if it is a repeat! ;)

That would be great if you could make it. We need people to play on the US side. If a uniform is holding you up, we have a uniform loaner section on the forum. http://www.1st-sword.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=886

When do we have to sign up by?
Of course like everything else, sooner the better. You can always notify us if you need to cancel your spot.

Also we need to get the HUTU units but ran into a snag with PAYPAL!
PM me and let me know what the snag is.

Yes there will be camping. I am bringing my travel trailer.
So bring what you got.

What are the times of actual play both days?
Friday : Check -in 1400- 1800 Night game "The Invasion" 2100

Saturday : Day Operations 0900 Briefing 1000- 1600 Day Operations

Thank you for any and all info especially if it is a repeat! ;)
No problem at all. Ask away!
If you havent done so, check out the forum so you can familiarize yourself on what is going on. If you are able to make it you will need all the info for your side. Its gonna be a busy two days!

I think the only thing that was mentioned was the pop-up flares (if I remember correctly), and that is a no go due to proximity to Ft Lewis.

Right on!
I had thought of going to U of P. I grew up in Vancouver Washington. Spent a lot of time in Portland playing :D

I'm trying to intrest my son to join ROTC. He is only 13 so he has a bit before he can join.

From what I understand both have excellent ROTC programs. You also are not limited to Infantry, I was told that you have to choose your branch during your senior year so you have some time. Take this time to investigate what branch you want to be an officer in. Also remember that ROTC is the Reserve Officer Training Course so most of the officer from this program join the reserves or the guard. If you want SF then you will have to move since there is not an SF unit in Oregon that I am aware of.

Special Forces looks for maturity and someone that has been in the military for a while.

If you are an officer, you will most likely have a different branch for a few years to get some experience and maturity before going special forces. Especially as an officer.

If you are 16 now, you will not lead a special forces A team for 10 years most likely.

For Reserve forces, 19th Group is based in Washington, which isn't that bad of a drive to Buckley, WA from Portland. But it's harder to get into 19th group without previous military experience/SF experience.

I know you're interested in the military and ROTC is the cool thing in your life, but you're putting it in a few threads now FYI.
