KA-BAR wrote:hey all its the guy formerly known as KA-BAR.

KA-BAR was a callsign i picked up to use as my alter ego/persona on these forums. i gained a reputation for being a bit of a A-hole and a baby punching maniac. since then i have tried to keep the old KA-BAR in his cage, but he breaks loose every now and again to reek havok on the boards.

well when you use words like "alter ego" and "persona" you are talking...not real, fake, as in trying to be someone you are not. the ability to hide behind a course of actions to achive a sinister goal.

when i joined airsoftpacific.com in dec. of 2005, all i saw was a group or community of friends, that liked to shoot each other with plastic BB's and have a good time. then i joined EATF and entered the "conspiracy theory" phaze....... now it is three years later, and the community has degraded into a clusterfuck community, full of baby punching elitest assholes, to glass licking newbiphiles. quite a stark contrast from where it was to where it is now.

when community leaders quit playing airsoft, and top tier teams start to disintegrate, its time to take a second look at that wich we call community.

i find that the games and skirms i have been attending are growing less and less from quality to quantity. honor has definately left the field, and the reasons i started playing, have fallen to the wayside.

also i have lost alot of respect for many of the individuals on the forums and the field, over the last 9 mo. due to shoddy gameplay, lack of honor, or just a general sence of maligned intentions, or a combonation of all three.

what i am trying to say is we fall short of my expectations of what a community that claims to have growth should be. in all reality this is a dysfunctional family full of downs syndrome that likes to feast on its own dung and shoot BB's at each other, then claim cheater.

i also find that my tolorence for certain individuals has grown very thin...

well what i am trying to say is i will be changeing my callsign to my REAL name, and i will be posting on these forums less frequently, and will probably not be showing up to regular old skirms, because they serve no purpose, when there is no honor.

i will show out to private invite only games, where the quality of participants can be monitored and controlled.

so with that i invite you to say your goodbyes to ol KA-BAR with in this thread, be they good or bad ( i am expecting a huge shitstorm of negativity),so as for me.....

ill see you on the field.

Morgan Garrett
I'd like to say I'm sad that I was one of the people who believed that 'KA-BAR' was dead, and Morgan Garrett was going to show the world that he was someone better than who he is.

Sad. :(

If you're going to go to war against a major enemy, go; knock the hell out of him fast, and go in there to kill him and get it over with.

I hate to pont this out Ka-Bar, but why do you care if pics cost money if you don't care to have pics of you playing airsoft?
And you do sound kindof whinny because the pic's aren't free. So your ACTUALLY whinning for free pics of you playing airsoft. Not just pics in general. :?

Im dissapoined in the lack of crazy charges at the event, or at least the lack of seeing them, I charged HH once during the third phase and that was fun, but I didnt see much of that, I was hoping for more

As opposed to many of the others on this forum who won't stop asking you to get them up I would just like to say thanks for doing it and I look forward to seeing them whenever they get up. Hopefully there will be one of me. I understand that we all do this type of thing in our spare time and airsoft is not our career or our first priorities in life, especially if you have kids (then it should be somewhere around 7th or 8th in priority).

One more thing...great game. I'd definitely go to Steel Talon 2, should there be one. My only complaint is the medic rules could have been different for all the other reasons given in earlier posts.

Thanks again to all that carried cameras and were admins for the event. Your hard work is definitely appreciated. At one point in my career I was a photojournalist maybe one of these times I'll bring my camera and be a war correspondent. :D
Ultimately, we're all adults running around with toy guns. Let's keep it in perspective.

What's the point of crazy charges. I led the assault (not charge) up HH because A)that was my objective that was assigned to me by Terror and B) Holding HH is the key to winning the battle. For the most part there is no reason to have "crazy charges" any where or any time, what is needed is planned assaults or at least thought out assaults.

And, I just need to get this off my chest:

You fags need to learn to f***ing move. It is beyond me how so many people pretend to be tough-shit-uber-1337-n00b-pwners and then the second they start getting fired upon, they are cowering behind a f***ing tree. If you are supposed to be advancing on a target, and your entire force comes to a grinding halt the second they come under enemy fire, you will never accomplish your objective. If you are going to freeze up and freak out when someone shoots at you, why the f**k are you on an assaulting team? If you don't know how to move under fire then go circle jerk back at spawn.

I have to agree with you on that one. For the most part most of the people that I fought with were shooting and scooting, however during the third phase, I had to yell and scream (I am not a screamer by nature, I almost lost my voice as well) to get any one to do anything. I almost started grabbing people and throwing them up the hill just to get them moving and stop cowering behind the bunker there on the north end of HH. after all was said and done, only about 6 or 7 people of the 15 or 20 that were down there actually went up the hill with me.

Yes, good for us. To hell with the paintballers, way to make John happy. I started playing paintball at Splat Action in 1989 (no, there's no typo there, you young punks) and I'm glad to hear we "represented." Good for us--we can clean up after ourselves! I won't tell anybody about all YOUR trash I picked up before I left...WE did good.
