Question: What is your definition of "late spring/early summer"? Or heck, any idea when you'll be announcing an official date for this? I'd like to know what weekend I need to try and keep clear.

We'll be announcing the date very soon (registration opens on the 15th, so I should have a date nailed down by then)

it may just be me not seeing, but is there a location set other than "Somewhere near the Bordurian Frontier, Syldavia"? i just want to make sure i can make the drive before i cough up 30 non-refundable dollars.

The field is about 35 miles west of Portland (and then a couple miles up a logging road - a logging road that my little mustang can easily traverse).

Just to make sure this is perfectly clear, because I've received a number of instant messages asking for clarification....

This event is NOT going to be a run-and-gun, constant action shooting spree. This is not going to be a Force-on-Force military engagement.

This IS a competition style event similar to RAC5's "Enduring Horizon", APST, BSP and WAR's CQB competitions. You will need to have read, and understand the material presented in the players handbook.

The shooty-parts will be shooty. The thinking parts are going to test your mental flexibility and powers of observation.

There will be portions that are very free-form, and other portions that are tightly regulated.

Ammo is one of those things that will be regulated. You may show up with your pistol magazine/magazines loaded. Extended capacity/high capacity magazines are prohibited.

As to a rules clarification, you may wear a webbing belt with a canteen and holster for your pistol. You may not wear a plate carrier festooned with molle pouches. This is not a milsim operation. This is an Action-Adventure Simulation taking inspiration from films such as Indiana Jones, The High Road to China, The Mummy, and the Tintin comic books by Herge.
