first...I think I can make it up on Sunday, that will be 5 straight weekends of airsoft :D

second...LMAO at the epic "Battle of the BBs"
IMO 5k is too much to use in one day and I appreciate people who have accuracy--requiring very few BBs per kill--infinitely more than anyone who "sprays 'n' prays"...those who need to take more than a few dozen shots to get a kill are either out of range or need to learn to aim and control their fire

how many can I expect to be there on Sunday (enough to be worth the drive up from Salem)?

Meh. I just picked up a SAW. No idea yet as to how many rounds I will run in a day. Doing indoor CQB, though, 5000 rounds was not necessarily sufficient to last a 6 hour day.

Of course, the M-203 shells eat 204 rounds per go, so that is ~400 every 10 minutes or so. And using a gas Glock to suppress while moving to cover to reload my primary was 20+ rounds in a few seconds. My worst in one 20 minute dustup indoors was 16 realcaps, 5 hicaps, 3 pistol mags, and 2 grenade shells. That was almost 2500 rounds right there. Of course, that was a pretty atypical situation, but it can and does happen.

With a bolt gun, I could see 250 rounds being overkill. With a LMG, I could see 10000 rounds (or more) being a more realistic number. So I guess it would depend more on your equipment and role than anything else.

Some snipe, some sneak but some are just meat! That will tell you how you should be shooting. Everyone has a role thats just as important as the other.
