as far as the hat issue goes, its really not that ideal. Since most established teams have a specific loadout, and then requiring a differnt type of hat or cover just for a skirmish isn't going to go over too well. The only way I could see about going about that would be breaking the teams up by soft and hard cover. meaning if you have enough players who have helmets even with players wearing soft covers (ball caps, boonies, berrets, etc. etc.) but then that is asking alot too.
As far as not being able to see an arm band when someone is dug down and taking cover, well that whole thing goes with being able to 'PROPERLLLY IDENTIFY YOUR TARGET' and not just shooting the first person you see, or the first bush or branch moving. I don't know how many times I have seen someone lite someone up behind a bush or tree, then the shouting begins...

"HEY!!! Who shot me!?!"
"I did!"
"Who the hell are you?"
"(insert name here)"
"Damnit!!!! I'm on your team"
"Oh Sorry, my bad"

and this happens alot. Luckily at the previous flag game (Search & Destroy) we were able to have enough players in not U.S. woodland bdu's that we had one team that was comprised of the RAC 5 members in british bdu's and then filled with the guys in U.S. woodland. and the other team was everyone else, wearing flecktarn, tiger, russian, etc. etc. Be great if we can get that again. but I am not counting on it.

Now, on another note:
Since only 3 individuals contacted me about being snipers for the game, only these 3 will be allowed to use a bolt weapon on the field:

I will be PM'ing you three with the rules for being a sniper for this skirmish soon.[/quote]

You need a fricken hat to be able to tell who's on your team? Or some stupid arm bands?? If I can blend in I don't want something to give me away. Learn to tell the difference between camo....Look at who's on your team!!!!!

I completely agree, but lets face the fact that, that isn't the way it happens.

So heres the way the game is going to go;

Each team will be given a grid section on the map. In each section a pre-posistioned flag will be set, along with 3 smaller flags. The main flag is the respawn indicator. If at anytime this flag is lowered that team loses respawning ability. If they are albe to re-raise the flag the respawns are reinstituted. Near the main flag will be a banner, this banner indicates the respawn location. All players in the deadpool must be at this banner to respawn.
3 small flags: when each team moves to there sector grid they will find 3 small flags next to the main flag. Before the game begins each team will be given time to place each of these 3 small flags throughout there grid sector. These 3 flags can be placed anywhere in that teams sector, but must be easily visible. no hiding them in a bush or under a rock or whatever.

Mission Objective: each teams objective is to locate and secure the enemy flags. Return all 3 enemy small flags to your main flag position and lower the enemy's main flag and you win.
When a player has posession of an enemy's flag and is carrying it back to his main flag location, that player can not use his rifle. Since he is carrying the flag that player can only use a sidearm to engage the enemy and rely on his team mates to protect him. If the player carrying the flag is shot, he is unable to move to the respawn until another player, from either team, releaves him of the flag he is carrying.

Respawn Rules: This is a 'One shot One Kill' game. When you are shot, you remain as a deadbody for a period of 5 minutes before moving to your respawn location. (unless you are carrying a flag)
Once your 5 minute 'deadman' period is up, you will move to your repawn location. REMEMBER DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES so you do not give away enemy posistions when your dead. Once in the deadpool at the respawn, each team will repawn in group of 4 or larger. Once you have assembled a group of 4 players in the deadpool you will wait 5 minutes from when the most recent player entered the deadpool before respawning.

contact me with any questions concerning these rules.

That's really cool to have a "dead man" period. I always thought that would make the games not only smoother, but have a little more purpose than just having guys running back and fouth between respawn and fighting. Glad somebody finally added.

But deadman periods work much better when everyone has a death rag, so bring em! (haha, I said RAG and PERIOD) Otherwise, you got a bunch of people standing around like idiots... Are they dead or alive? Nobody knows.

Yes everyone bring deathrags, that or dont phony pony when people keep shooting you. and when you get shot, it is usually best to put the deathrag on your head, to ensure as many people can see it easily while you are moving to the deadpool.

Just cut up a red t-shirt or rag for you and your friends if you can't find a bandana or beanie. That way no one can complain that they don't have one.
