Question: How will we be identifying teams, with arm tape? That's the only way I can think of allowing people to switch sides without massive confusion.

if youve seen the field its pretty simple. if they are on the other side of the road, they are probably not friendly. and if they are shooting at you, once again probably not friendly. tape would not work, because people will be moving teams quite frequently in this type of game. at no time are you tied down to any side, this is more for the people who just want some trigger time, then for those worrying about teams and winning.

No one at this event will be winners. we are all going to be losers. have fun!

Hey!
Im new to this and im excited to come check it out. I do have a question about my friends guns. They currently have what says to be 450 fps AK47s. They arent planning on changing their guns around anytime soon. Does this meen they have to buy a new gun or could they just use semi-auto the whole game?

On a better note, if someone coming from up here going down there could give me a ride, I could consider making it to this.

Yo liquidsnak, I could probably give you a ride if I go. I'm considering heading out the night before though, If I have the opportunity I'd like to sleep past 6am on my weekends off. Either way, we can make better plans as time passes.

Bring a different replica, downgrade them. Or ask around for a loaner.

But 470 with .12s is maybe ~360 with .2s
I need that mercedes fixed by noon!

By the way, .12's are no good for your gun.

fpsbambam*, your friend's gun is entirely within AP limits for AEGs. The 330 / 400 / 550 fps limits assume .2g BB. As AnTILoGiC said, the gun is actually shooting under 400 were it using .2g BBs. So the gun is useable; no problem. We would all suggest using .2g rather than .12g BBs, but that's another issue.

Me and a friend are interested in joining into this hobby, or at the very least trying it out a few times before we decide either way. Is this a good time to test that or should we wait for an operations game?

Keep in mind that neither of us has equipment or guns. And I don't plan on buying anything until I've tried it at least once. No sense in wasting money :)

Ry, if they're shooting at you, shoot back. If you can see their back, their friendly. It's going to be chaotic anyway.

Antigan15, this is a non-milsim skirm. It will be a representation of newbs and people who don't care about anything but trigger time. Not the best sampling of airsoft. Come if you can, and borrow a gun or something. But you might want to see some mil-sim to explore airsoft more.
