Congrats to the team's that participated and walked away victorious in thei personal quest to unseat the reigning champions. Outstanding performance moments for every team, but only 3 trophies get made.





Thanks Thoma, you are 100% correct about the people who take the time to participate in any capacity at these type of events.

It's not for everyone, and luckily there is a solid pool of players out there who lust for it, just like the planners do.

As far as critical feedback there is no event that doesn't have it. It's an unfortunate thing, but it's necessary to help build a stronger event next round. I'd like all concerns about the event sent to me directly. byoungblood@blacksierra.net or bill@s4-tactical.com, either of these will work, and I will read them and reply.

As far as the competition goes, I believe everything can be better, but really with any new scenario design, people are going to be bumps. We'll take the feedback and run with it. That's how we approach any event. Take the good, dump the bad and roll out.

I really liked the military style go/no-go scoring we've adopted. It is a far more fair and non-subjective way to grade. The yes/no of the program makes it very simple and straight forward. The scoring sheet is a work in progress, but as we wargame it offline privately, the list of grading criteria will expand and provide an even better scoring dynamic.

There are some very specific people that should be mentioned for their help this weekend:

Every actor was exceptional in their volunteer duties and it is much appreciated.

Crimmins, not only for his trash talking actor hate, but for his dedication to the project with logistical support and any other support necessary to make it a go.

Terry Hendren (S4): Hooked up the field for the PSD ambush. That was the perfect spot man.

S-4 (Avery, Tom, and Terry) for allowing us to raid the location and take it over for a weekend of tactical beat down and use it not only as a step off point, but also a motel. Thanks guys......Tyler....yeah, you busted your hump too, and it is 100% noted and appreciated too.

Riddick, for hooking up the Swap-Meet and working with prizes. Werd.

Thompson, Mohr, Vincent, Kerr, Crook, Doyle, Gallahger, Morgan, Keith, Carrie, John......The list goes on. EVERYONE who put the time in....THANK YOU. Your part made this event a joy to watch. We truly appreciate your involvement, without you guys this event can't happen.

I just wanted to extend my sincere appreciation to all of the guys at S4 and BSP for another phenomenal competition. Actors: you guys were stellar, and played your rolls very compellingly. Of course, with any event like this, there were some bumps, but at the end of the day I loved the detail and realism that the event allowed.

To all of the teams that played today, from what I saw everyone did great regardless of whether you ranked 1st or 10th. This was a totally new and different kind of play for pretty much everyone in this community, and it was great to see how everyone just ran with it and did their best. It was a great learning experience all around. It was a pleasure to interface with all of you, and I saw nothing but exemplary sportsmanship, integrity, and friendliness.

Thanks to the actors for putting up with the grueling schedule and physical assaults.

Here's my critique, don't take this as a personal insult, just consider it.
The "immersion" was ok, but not what it was hyped to be.
If the incorrect or misleading information was all part of the immersion, great, if not, try to improve.
The event wasn't fun. Maybe it was designed to be fun for people that like 10 minutes of "play" crammed into 2 days. In which case I'm not the target audience after all. Maneuvering, trigger time, and team accomplishment is fun, calling in radio codes and trying to improvise with misleading intel isn't fun.

If you say you're going to have individual competitions run all day, have them run all day. Honestly the carbine competition was the only event of this weekend that I was looking forward to, and I missed it due to being on the UC mission.

I don't intend to argue any of these points, as my viewpoint is different than anyone elses. I'm merely trying to help you understand the viewpoint of a player (customer).

I look forward to a possible return of APST to CQC event planning. I haven't been able to do a competition in two years. I'm itching to put the skills to the test.

What else can I say that hasn't been said? Thank you EVERYONE who took part in this and made it happen. I will admit I was a little worried we would have a repeat of last year (being canceled day before), but it didn't happen, and I know PSC had an amazing time. We will be at the next one, hopefully improving on our 3rd place finish.....

That second scenario was freaking spectacular. I had a blast with the whole weekend, but had way more fun pushing some pissed off drug dealers around. My complaints are so minor and irrelivant that they are not even worth mentioning. Top-notch event. Many thanks to BSP for yet one more badass event in a long line of badass events.

I can't remember the last time I had that much fun at an airsoft game.
I was considering acting for the next one but now I'm not so sure.
