SITUATION: (FRIENDLY): MNF-I has given the green light for US Forces to commence combat operations to clear insurgents out of their stronghold in Fallujah. Six battalions – 4 Marine, 2 Army – organized around RCT-1 and RCT-7 are tasked with sweeping and clearing through Fallujah in order to deny insurgent forces the town as a safe haven to launch attacks across Anbar Province.

Just kind of curious, how extensive are these inspections? Are admins just gonna walk down the line and look in your mag pouches, utility pouches etc? or will they be going through the rest of your person, Backpack, pockets etc?

Just need a bit of clarification, it could be a bit excessive. Some people might not want some stranger going through all their crap. just curious.

Frankly, If you have anything you don't want the admons to look through it probably shouldn't be on the field.

Anyone remember the full patdown and gear bag search we had to enter the facility for CQC1. I do and It made me feel VERY good to have it.

Leave yer contriban at home and if you can't get through the weekend without your strap on then maybe a hobby that doesn't include realistic firearms replicas would be in order.

I for one welcome any search procedure if it creates a safe enviroment. Credit card swipe anyone ;~D

Grunt,

I totally understand your concern. I wouldn't want some random bloke copping a feel on my gear without reason either.

We wanted to stress that because we'll be operating in and out of buildings we need for safety's sake to make sure that all guns are chrono'd and people are operating as safely as possible.

So we'll be checking to make sure everyone is operating safely up front and during the exercise itself.

The safeguards we will be using are for the most part standard operating procedure for Spokane Airsoft.

This is for the saftey of everyone, a member was caught on fire by a exsplosive at an event recently and kbars car was in a near miss with a m22 mag flare so this may seem a little exstreem but it has to happen.

Stay on topic. This is an event thread, folks.

That said, I'm kind of interested, despite the short notice. Are there any good shots of the field?

Nocte,

Here you go ... this is an overhead Sat Map of the area we'll be in:

Here's a video from a local TV station of the training area from earlier this fall:

Guardsmen prepare for the real thing in Cheney

I'll look to see if there are more pics available.
