Postby RT-HABU » Tue Nov 25, 2008 6:37 pm

Ive been looking around and man Im glad I don't really do modern!! WOW I though Nam was complicated. I was just wondering who all does nam here, and what impression you do??
Just trying to get a feel for it, also are there many Nam Milsim games I can look forward too??

I have an American mid/late-war Infantry Impression that I put on, on occasion.

Theres a few of us who want to put on a Mil-Sim Vietnam event, however overcoming the modern-shoot-'em-up inertia around here is pretty difficult. Haven't I seen you hanging out on the Battlesim, or VietnamAirsoft forum?

hello
yea Im on the Vietnam Airsoft forum quite a bit, as well as the Military photos forum also as RT-HABU and on ebay as just rthabu, maybe youve seen me on one of those three places, Im big in the Vietnam Collecting/reenacting community, been doing this for over 25 years but would love to get out and wear some of this stuff for other than "Glamor Shots" and being 72" GI Joe figures LOL,
I use to go to a local gun show the Great western here in so cal and it was cool they had a costume contest, always fun putting together different impressions and such!!

I plan on attending an event in Beaver OR in June for a Vietnam blank fire reenactment, we usually do a circa 1969-70 Ranger Impression, should be fun!!

Thanks,

Hi there RT-HABU, You should come out to the ABT Airsoft Battle Field, our whole theme is Vietnam related. Most everything is named after one thing or another that has to do with Nam. Check out out website, it's not the best, but it's all we have for now. Would like to have you out sometime. We do a lot of scirms there for now, but I have a lot of the battles that happened in Nam and am hoping to do some sims on those this next year (2009). Would be good if we got together sometime to swap ideas. We are still using the ABT field for mostly Saturday scirms right now, so keep an eye out for posts by "X", he is my right hand man. Hope to c-ya out there, Shoot ya later, SCROUNGE / Bill

The field is 10 acers, which sounds small compare to other fields, but trust me, it is a very challenging 10 acres with forest, fields, creek, and the structures that are still there. There was no insurance on the house as it was not occupied and since it's out in the country no insuracne co. would cover it. So that ended our CQC events. Keep in touch and have a good holiday season.
