Chapped is very correct in the use of zip-ties ect in the past. We are currently evaluating this once again to determine the safety concerns of the actors.

Also, zip-ties are freaking expensive...to the tune of $2 a piece when you get the heavy duty ones...if we did allow the use of zip-ties....they'd have to be regulated and the proper type to ensure consistency and overall better safety.

Actors will fulfill roles that maximize the player's experience in the event itself. The acting group is the make or break of these events. People who are not 100% committed to putting on the best show shouldn't offer their time. It's fun, and you will be captured on film doing your part. We generally have long days...but they are filled with a lot of stories to be told afterward....So, yeah, those who have acted know what time it is....those who want to act will be trained up on how we roll.

I'd like to recommend some type of restraint even if it's just rubber bands because I feel at CQC6 we had an incident were it wasn't clear to the actor that they were being restrained because of everything else going on around them.

yeah. If you want a cheap restraint simulator get those decent sized rubber bands @ $4 per pack of like 30

I would also like to add that acting at a competition is probably more fun than competing. Plus you get to partake in all the shenanigans that go on before and after a long day of acting. You are also guaranteed camera time, but not always trigger time. (keep that in mind people)

Agreed. Some type of visual clue is always good, that reminds both the team and the actor that restraints have been administered. Even if it's just a rubber band.

Livestrong bracelets. Just put one on each wrist.

It's a Visual Indicator, it takes time to apply, and it's completely safe.

Thats a good idea. What about a red piece of material for the actor to hold in their hands when they have been restrained?

I agree 100%. I've never competed in a CQC event as a player, but being an actor was one of the most fun times I've had in airsoft. I didn't even have a gun.

OK!

For all of you without teams, we still have the full section of shooting events.

Pistol, Pistol/Carbine,Precision Marksman, Tandem Pistol, Tandem Pistol/Carbine

These events are obviously budget oriented and will be a "pay the day of" per event you want to shoot in.

Also!

For ANYONE interested in selling at the BSP Challenge, we have an upper story devoted at S4 to sell from. We have several tables available for use, and of course we encourage anyone wanting to off load some of their gear to take part in this "airsoft swap meet" environment. There is no fee for tables, and no entry fee required to participate in this aspect of the BSP Challenge.

Please reserve a table via PM, and I'll lock it down on the S4 registery.

Also, prepayments can be made at the physical location of S4, and on the S4 webpage: www.s4-tactical.com . Look under "training" and you'll see the cart option. We have a running excel spreadsheet of prepays already rolling!

Thanks!
