Smaller pixel groups and/or more colors wouldn't take that much longer. This paintjob took me (including drying times) about an hour and a half. Cutting out the stencils is the most time consuming part.

I'm attempting to paint some of my guns and i was was wondering, does the tan really help all that much here in western washington and northern oregon? or is it better to just stick with the darker colors?

lights help break up darks. it's all an essential part of the lovely thing we dub camouflage.

I have found that most of the time the light tan colors break up the dark to much and become targets even through fairly dense brush. espescially so with any movement at all.

thus your pattern needs to be area tailored. I have tan and dark brown in my pattern, but for the most part, it's OD.

host it on an image hosting site like photobucket and then enclose the link in tags. photobucket will also do if for you.

My M4, not sure if I'm happy with the way it went, I may end up completely redoing it.
