Team Plague Skirmish (Florence, OR)

Skywalker, I changed your subject line. If you're going to post calendar events, please use subjects that explain the game itself. ie. Florence Skirmish, something along those lines. "I CHALLENGE YOU ALL" doesn't tell anybody viewing the site where the game is or what kind of game it is.

I'm afraid I'll have to pass on this one myself, 3 hours man. Maybe if we plan something in advance we can get more people to carpool and head down there. Either way, you could probably attract some of those Eugene/Albany/Salem/Corvallis kids. Good luck! Have fun.

This whole thread sounds like a broken record, but it does look like a nice field, and I'd definately be interested in playing there some time in the future, but not this weekend. Start planning a good scenario for a big operation, and I'll be there.

I routinely drive 2+ hours to get to any game. That's what I get for living in Eugene. Quit bitching. If you really want to play you'll drive as far as you need to.

How big is this field? I've seen the pics, but what I want to know is this:

Is this a farm, a rural house and yard, or what? If you need to, compare it to other fields that we play at rather than make a piss poor guess as to acerage (unless you actually know the acerage, then post that).

I should also warn you, as you've probably gathered, that the majority of AP players live in or around the Portland/Salem area and won't make the 3 hr drive for a skirmish. Turn this into something bigger and you'll get a decent turnout.

you think thats bad? we drove 2.5 hoours for a 21 min. cqc event! but we won stuf so it's all good.

Yeah, been there, done that, got the t-shirt....

This game looks promising, a rough list of those saying they'll attend please?

Ha, just curious, but why is the safety on and your finger on the trigger?

And Cobol, I am 15. I don't have a permit. My parents give me rides. I'd be fine riding 2 hours for a game, but my parents wouldn't. That is the prohibiting factor here. That's why I made that statement. If it was a huge OP, my parents might be more inclined to drive me.

Hey, Cobol, the field play area is something like 4.5 acres, though the property is 5.1 acres.(this is a real figure, not just a guess) Its a rural house with field, but not too much so. Its not like we would run into anyone out there. Silent, when you say rough list, do you mean of people in my team and from my town OR a list of people coming from AP? Or perhaps both? I can say that we will probably get 6-12 people to attend from my end. And for people from AP....well, its still in progress as you can see. I really don't know of anyone from AP yet exept maybe Cobol and any others that decide to come. I still strongly encourage more to come. As for your suggestions to make a bigger game, well, thats in the works as of tomorrow, we are only now looking for a date, and as for a theme, well, I was thinking the Soviet Invasion of the west coast (during cold war). And no5686, my finger is on the trigger because thats how I rest my finger, unless I remember to take it off for a picture or something. Its on safety because when I am walking around not during gameplay, I don't usually have my replica ready to fire, it could result in an accident when I am playing around with the trigger.

Was fun. I borrowed a cheap chinese 30$ P90 aeg and I took on like two people. One of them had my shotty, which is much better than the P90 that I had. I was firing wildly at him and he shot at me, I saw the bb leave the barrel and fly toward me. I tried to move out of the way, but it hit me right in the lower lip. Hurt like a mofo. It was fun.
