I had a great time. It was a great event, and it went as well as any other good event I've ever been to. They all have flaws in their execution, and short of the admins choreographing each individual fight, it doesn't go much smoother. Great Job Bill and BSP. I'm looking forward to attending a few more of these.

Ron, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you.
Bigfoot, you're about as locked on as they get. I was significantly impressed by your performance on the field. I don't give praise lightly (as you can probably tell), but you deserve it. I believe that with a little more work you will make an excellent small unit leader.
Knux & Nox, thanks for your help with the commo.
That guy I FF killed... sorry again man.
PixieChinchilla, thanks for having sex with me after the camp fire party. :D

If I stepped on anyone's toes by yelling at them, well, get used to it. If it makes you feel better, I still don't have my voice back completely after all of that screaming and yelling. I yell, curse, and even throw rocks at people if I feel like I need to in order to gain their attention and get them focused on something other than laying behind a tree and getting shot.

It was nice finally meeting you. Well...not really meeting you.
But following your command for a bit, and then having a nose bleed while you talked to my team after the game.

Hate to break it to you, but watching me sleep doesn't count as having sex with me, Gunny. Sorry, dude. ;)

So onto my praises.

Ron; You did an awesome job leading us. Keeping us organized and motivated is not a simple task but you fearlessly lead us all the way to the end. (It's like you have done this stuff before in real life ;) ) It was also hard to protect your a$$ when you went rushing into the village before we knew it was safe.

Gunny; It was a pleasure fighting along side you for a good part of the day. Your pep talk kept our spirits high which led to a big shift in the games momentum. I am sorry that we couldn't put the glow sticks in the building but we gave it a hell of a run. Anytime you need a guy to fight to the death with you, I'm your man.

BSP; Great bleeding event. Complex yet easy to play in, Ivan's crossing was the most successful OP I have been to. Great use of imagination and realism to keep the intensity up. The amount of players was lower than some past OP's, BUT that made it a hack free game with all the extra admins involved. Well worth my $25 for entry. You guys even got the game going on time (something that I always expect from BSP).

Some problems that I ran into were undisciplined trigger fingers and refusal to honor a safety kill.

I was hosed with about 20 rounds when the guy only need tree to kill me. Another guy wouldn't honor a safety kill, when I screamed "safety kill" three times. I was forced to shoot him at a range that was uncomfortably close, but lucky for him I chrono'd at 340 FPS. He shot me at the same instant so I walked back to respawn.

I'm glad our group made it out to the event. Good people, good field, and it seemed like there was less bitching than Solomon's Pass.

I still think it's funny when someone chrono's a 310 fps stock CA and complains that someone isn't calling a hit because if I can reach them then they should be reaching me. (that 120 spring pushing 350-370 makes a HUGE difference)

I'm really glad no one was hurt to badly. It's dangerous to be running with packs through the brush and over difficult terrain but it seems that very little ever really happens. I second the motion to thank the medical people who share the love of the game and were willing to drop gear and help those that needed it.

Jensen wrote:Needs improvement:
Better organization among the respawn admins
Better understanding of boundaries.
Dead people NOT congregating in a live fire zone and resting.
Dead people NOT using dead rags.
Some Jackassery, but it got cleared up quickly without much drama. (people trying to call other people's hits, taking 20 second bursts, using safety area as a shooting zone, people shooting into respawns, dead people talking, etc)

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAKE DEAD RAGS A REQUIREMENT

It would also be nice to review at the briefing that when you're hit you don't hit the deck and stick a hand up. Yell, "HIT", stand up, put on a dead rag and leave the field. Not only does it keep you from getting pelted but you also get back to spawn and back out into the action faster.

Actually I didn't run, or take cover....I just strolled in and directed people. My thought was if they saw me walking around fearlessly, they would find renewed courage. Not sure if it worked, but it sure surprised me at how far I got.

I can't remember everyones name who stepped up to lead that day. But I noticed many people taking a rabble of folks off to perform some mission or other, often without people from thier own team. A few of them looked rather surprised when I pointed to them and said "take these people out there and kill the enemy"...not a one of them argued. This OP was a testiment to the fortitude that the NW airsoft sommunity has. I had many people stepping up and giving 110%... Made my job easier, Thanks.... The Motherland will crush our enemy on our next attack.
