I agree with "Nocte" and "Tombstone", in fact today my MP5 got shot and i just dropped it and bust out my berretta. But sadly people would just fight even more about what got hit. We should just stick to the first rules, if anything on you gets shot on you, then your out.

I think having to switch to a side arm is a great idea, but to implement it a couple of weeks before the op is a little hard. I would love to see this at future ops though

Yeah, I don't have a good secondary weapon, or the money to go get a reasonable gas/electric pistol. I do agree that a hit ANYWHERE on the gear should count as a hit, after all, it's the best way to avoid arguments, but it seems that at the majority of events, a gun hit doesn't count.

To change topic suddenly, I've just gotta get a few more things sorted out. I'm still listed under the Pacific Security Contractors. DRAT's numbers are 10, since there was myself signed up individually and DRAT was listed as 9. Myself included, there are 8 of us signed up so far. The final two are Matt "Iceman" and Justin "Loki". Also, BT pre-payed using money from the BSP challenge. I apologize for the information vomit. Thanks very much.

I agree. You will get a torrent of "hitting someone's gun doesn't kill them in real life" etc. And I don't get hit in the gun enough for it to be a viable thing to change just because people want more kills.

Lets bury the "gun hit" rules for this event.

It will either be implemented or not in future events.

there are two hits i do not call on the field, ricochet and gun hits. this has been the rule since i have been playing.

if you think you hit me and i am not calling it. its because of one of the two reasons listed above.

i do not consider brush cutting to be "ricochet", but if you are bounceing rounds off a hard surface and onto me.....forget it.

as for the gun hit rule.....how is that going to be enforced. i can see the new ruling only as a force multiplier to the bitchfest that is the "no hit calling for somone else" golden rule that people love to ignore.
I am not half as good as I want to be, but I am twice as good as you think I am.

So, for a definitive answer for this event:

Do gun hits count as a hit to your gear, and thusly mean you are out?

Game will go wheels up at 10am.

Briefing at 9:15-9:30. Placement of forces prior to 10am, 10am...shots will be fired.

You will receive full battleplans from your commanders.

-Jobs that will be necessary:

Demolition specialists (5 per side)
Sniper Teams (2 per side (4 total participants per side))
Mechanic/Engineers (3 per side)

THERE ARE NO MEDICS, NO BANDAIDS, NO MOVING RESPAWN POINTS. THESE WILL BE STATIC.

IF YOU ARE HIT: STAND UP AND CALL OUT HIT AND BE OBVIOUS ABOUT IT. MOVE BACK TO YOUR SPAWN POINT WITHOUT TALKING. DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES!

We will provide NEW maps of the facility with new names on each location. EACH place will have specific objective values.

-Several missions (team and squad based) will be working throughout the whole day.
